- Hi ladies. Christina & Kelli here with the hottest shoe trends on the fall/winter 2022 runways. These are the shoe styles that all of the designers were featuring in their shows for the season. We have gathered these trends to provide you with some shoe inspiration for your fall looks. Clogs we’re popular in the late 60’s and early 70’s. Those were really comfortable. I wore them during college and my pregnancy in 1972. I’m ahead of the cowboy boot trend. I’m looking for a edgy classic pair of combat boots. I’m in my (70’s)🥰 and wear any style shoe I like.
Late 70's HS..almost fell down a concrete staircase because open toe platform clogs were too wide for my feet and both arms were full of books so couldn't grab onto the railing. I was literally falling full-face forward but somehow managed to defy gravity and forcefully yank myself to fall backward into the steps. Ended up in a sitting position while still holding the books 😄. Only time ever wearing those clogs and gave them away to another girl with warning to be careful because those shoes almost killed me.

There’s some silver foxes I’ve caught on Pinterest, and they look fabulous rocking the trends. I don’t think it’s about age as much as it is personal style, occasion and your physique. There’s multiple ways to subvert an item and make it more mature if need be. It’s not a single piece, it’s the whole outfit.
COMBAT BOOTS...YES!!! I'm 64 and and have done several videos on them.....love all of these except the clogs...lol

I always tuck away my shoes and clothes...I just pulled out my boot cut jeans from years ago...everybody loves them. I guess you could say they're vintage. I bought them when I was 17....I'm 45 now 🤣😳
Technically, vintage is 40 years. Antique upwards from 50 years. So there's still time! Lol
Combat boots are my favourite ones ♥️♥️ so perfect with any look ☺️☺️
Loving some of the shoe trends for fall. I already have a few of the retro sneakers. Yes to lug loafers and combat boots in the neutral tone look so chic.

Oh geez . I am 67 I have a beautiful pair of suede over the knee boots . Classic with a skinny jean and bulky sweater . I would not wear with a mini , but I have a flare knit dress they look great with ... I wear with tights . I love this trend and I wear whether trendy or not, it’s part of my “signature “ look !
Stripper shoes and hooker boots. Oh my! Those are extreme but I am loving many of the others. At this point most of them are classic and I’m glad I hang on to cowboy boots, loafers and ballet flats.
No to the platforms....but I already did buy myself the lug sole loafers...I love them. I do want to get myself a pair of clogs and I guess I get to pull out my over the knee boots. Mine are flats and they are suede...they do look super cute if you show maybe an inch of leg in between and the fact they are flats make them less showy. I absolutely love these retro sneakers too!! Right on with these ladies!! ❤❤ Great job!

Love the cowboy boots and ballet flats, but I tried wearing a pair of clogs the last time they were really popular, and I fell and almost broke my ankle. Haven't had on a pair since. In fact, anything with the back out like clogs, slides, etc., I just don't wear. I need stability. If there is no strap, I pass. But the other looks are great!!!! Thanks Kelli and Christina.
I stepped out of my 2” heeled Mules onto the back of the clog and it hit on my instep. OMG I limped for a week and it was so bruised and painful.
I would add block heeled loafers to the list Super cute and can wear with dresses pants and jeans

Good morning Ladies... I agree with you both about the over the knee boots. One of my friend's had said years ago "That boots are the only article of clothing that the more the boots covered your legs the more risqué they looked". Lol.
My shoe size is 5.5 in adult. I bought a lug sole child loafer in a size 4 black with the chain detail at Walmart. The shoe is not as large in real estate as the adult version and is cheaper👏
Thank goodness ballet flats are back in style (not that I think they ever went out, and are classics) but so many TH-camrs have been telling us they are out!! I love them and have several pairs. Also, in London, I noticed women of all ages wearing the combat (Doc Marten) boots with all kinds of outfits. I love them, and think you would look wonderful in them Kelly! Its the juxtaposition of cute and girly with tough and edgy and think you could do it! I saw them in all kinds of colors too. Liking the lug sole loafers too, and am dying for some clogs!
I love a cute print above the knee dress or sundress with combat boots, it looks great as you said. Gotta get my boots out of the box.

@@goldieslacks Get your point - I don't "follow" TH-camrs, I watch them to see if there's anything new that fits in with my style and would be a good addition.
I have a gold ballet flat that I’m definitely wearing this season. They are very neutral and can be worn with everything!

Metallics are considered a neutral- or so I was taught silver flats go with everything!

I found a super cute pair of the lug sole loafers from Target! Very inexpensive, did not have any bling but I prefer the more laid back look!

I love your videos. Especially the ones about "new" trends, which as we know are old trends jazzed up a little. I'm so VERY happy that platforms are back. I have a pair that I've been saving for a comeback. They are so very comfortable because the 3" heel is really a 2.5" heel with the platform. I LOVE wearing heels, they make me feel sexy, let's face it they're meant to. However as I've gotten older it has become harder to wear heels and not look like I'm about to fall over. As a senior who doesn't look like one I try to stay "on trend" because I believe it makes me look more youthful, and I'm all in for that. Yay for platforms. I'm going to wear them with my new flared jeans, the faux leather moto jacket I bought last year a sweater. Warm hugs to you from Canada.
I love over the knee boots!! Goodnight Macaroon (boutique) has some cute ones with low heels! I love to wear them with jeans or leggings, and I'm over 40 - they look SO cute! You've got to give them a chance!

I've already purchased the clogs that you featured from Target (love them), black lug sole loafers, have the Doc Marten Combat Boots, sneakers, and cowboy boots. I will NOT be purchasing platforms (I'm a teacher and have so much uneven ground on campus, I'd probably break an ankle). Had to come back and update about ballerina shoes. I found a pair of size 5 wide shoes from Vionic on the Nordstrom website. I ordered the pewter color. Fingers crossed that they are comfy!

Looks amazing under skirts & dresses.
Wear an oversized jumper, or oversized blazer/coat with a mini skirt and OTK boots for a wearable look, that cancels the Pretty Woman vibe.

I've had a pair of Carlos Santana boots going on their 5th winter this year. They are my combat boot for this year. I wish you could see them! I went to look for another pair and they've gone up $100 more than I paid for them so I took mine to the cobbler and had the heel glued and they're just like new again! I'm not a big sneaker kind of gal and I can't wear heels anymore. They kill my feet. I had fun watching though! I love the tops you're both wearing. Those colors look great!

For me, it's a no on the platforms, over the knee boots, and lug soled boots or loafers. Everything else is a go.

Kelli, I picked up a pair of blush pink combat boots from Nordstrom last year and I love them! They go with so many outfits. I'll pass on the platform Mary Janes and heels, they give me Elton John vibes and he could totally rock them, but not me 😂

Suggestion for keeping it current with a platform but doing it in comfort. Take a look at Aerosoles “Camera”. It has sold out multiple times. Just bought black for Niece’s wedding.

Versace FW 2021 was the first house that I saw bringing platforms back. I knew everyone else would catch on, and a year later here we are.
Finally I find a channel with peeps in FL! 😱 I had been looking for inspo videos on how to wear lug sole shoes, and all videos are of people styling for cold weather, which is not realistic for south FL. We are nowhere near sweater weather, wools, layering, etc. I need a video that’s accounting for our weather down here. Mid and north FL get some chill, even freezing temperatures at some point, but we don’t all the way down here :/
Yah,,,, I just bought 2 pairs of cowboy boots in Nashville last week! Had no idea they were on trend!!! I bought a white ankle boot and a grey pair with embroidered neutral flowers on them that are mid calf style!!!

Good topic today! I am so excited to wear all my western boots. I have several ankle height and a few taller shaft height. I keep finding more outfits that they work with. Also, combat boots, especially lug sole, will make any outfit look current, and they're comfortable. I live in a cold climate. I saved my ballet flats from several years ago but I am short and I don't wear them as often. But I love the look!

I love combat boots and I am 54. They look great with jeans! I have big feet lol so I don't love ballet flats on me. I wouldn't personally wear Mary Janes but just recently purchased cowboy boots and think they are really cute! I do wish you included links to some of the shoes you showed in your video, especially those neutral combat boots. Great video, thanks for always putting out such great content. :)
Another great video! I'm all about comfort and looking cute but not following the trends so much. But so glad that clogs and combat boots are back, it is a style I have always gravitated towards. Good thing I never got rid of mine, but looking forward to the new looks, no matter how old I get I doubt I'll ever change. Lol!🥰

Just returned from Paris. Most women were wearing cute, colorful sneakers (even with dresses!)

I have been wearing combat boots since the 90s. In the Black community many of us call them Jodeci boots. I can’t imagine myself ever not wearing them. They are practical, stylish and comfortable. I have never been into western wear, but I have seen some boots that aren’t too heavy on the western side that I can see myself rocking.
OTNB 🥴 I abhor them for myself. The only person I see that wear them in a way that’s palatable is Mary J. Blige.

I am 58 and have a pair of Doc Martin combat boots. They are super comfortable and I feel like a real bad a## when I wear them!
💗Stylish Sneakers💗 w/a short pencil skirt or sporty a-line skort👍. A cool lace-up is the 😎West Coast's answer to a stuffy oxford. Sometimes knot a tee 👕 or light jumper over a more conservative "church" dress & pair w/a Van (or other slip-on sneaker) to get more casual wear out of 'em too.
👟Chunky kicks are fine for shorts in my hilly area. Might also wear the latter w/silky trousers, cargos, or joggers, but haven't owned any👖jeans for a couple of decades. 🥵Too hot & structured to suit climate 🏜 or hourglass ⌛️ shape.
😁Def would consider adding a nice nude/neutral sneaker.

💗Combat & Moto Boots will always be a staple in my closet. Both black & brown work in my wardrobe, but I could 💯 % embrace a nude/neutral boot. Pair them w/trousers or my collection of longer straight skirts. Would feel stupid 🙄 wearing them w/short skirts or dresses.
💗Chunky Lug Sole Loafers in black ring my bell🔔. Mix comfort & classic style together🎉〰️& would play well w/my plaid preppy pencil skirts. 🤔Do love a nude/neutral color shoe for elongating my leg ↕️, but the lack of color coordination w/rubber sole would probably bug me😖.
💗Western Boots〰️block heel ankle height〰️would be my jam for 🤠dancing & 🪕concerts🎶 in black & nude/neutral if I could ever find a wide ↔️ enough pair that would also suit naked socks🤣.
💗High boots〰️from riding boots, cowboy boots, to thigh high〰️but living in a ☀️ hotter climate I would never get max💲cost per wear🥺. Plus, classic 🐴 Eastern & Western boots make my legs seem stumpy🪵. They feel like a costume as well. Regrettably, I also feel silly😔 in sexy boots.
💗Clogs, slides, mules〰️but they are NOT my best walking shoes. 😉Not sure standing around shoes are 💲great value💲. Also have a huge amount of fashion flips🩴, but primarily use them as slippers around the house. Blister like mad whenever I wear anything w/o some kind of sock😂.
🚫 Hard no on ballet flats & any kind of Mary Janes. 😊Love the idea of 'em, but they never worked for me in reality. Platform heels def strike me as stripper or "try too hard"😳.
