Nice job. We just picked up a set of Jerr -Dan bus bars for our Miller trucks. These 4wd trucks are a little aggravating to fork since you have to offset your truck just the right amount to clear the front diff. Bus bar are easier (once they’re on the underlift). Lol
Yeah, I watched the one you did with the 4x4 front axle and I never thought of using a fork and a cup before. I always just park offset and use forks on both sides. I would def like a set of them for our miller trucks I do like them much more than miller bus bars but you do have to watch out for the dual ratchet set up on jerrdan. Stop and check them a little ways up the road weve had the back on act tight till we get moving then it comes off during braking! Not an ideal situation LOL

Hey Shane !!1 Have seen on other wrecker channels that there is a adjustable cross bar that goes between the frame rails with a ratchet strap attached to hold up the drive shaft & long enough to hold the shaft in place so that it doesn't fall out of the center bearing or transmission !!! Great educational video & Thanks !! 🤔🙄👀👀👍👍👍👍👍
Those are called a driveline buddy. Very handy tool to have however we prefer our method of using 2 straps and keeping it up nice and tight to the frame. To each their own, some ops prefer the driveline buddy and theres absolutely nothing wrong with that. thanks for watching.
You can you just have to get your endorsement in your state in New York, it’s a class c non cdl license now And used to be just a W on your license but they changed it

I kinda gotta laugh, my mom and stepdad were the southern division managers for a drive -a-way company, we were living in North Carolina at the time, and Fridays were a royal pain in the butt because the brand new trucks coming out of the Altec plant had to have a "Friday"stamp on the paperwork, so Quite often our yard had anywhere from 2 to who knew how many trucks would be there for the weekend up to a month, ready to be delivered. Yes, my mom had a class B CDL lol she loved driving the bucket trucks, she had gotten cancer in 94 and passed in 04 dad is still with us at 83 years old and he is getting Alzheimer's and dementia, every day is a new adventure to see what he's doing
I dont, ill try to get one next time we tow one! We have f550 forks though... I know in the past before we had the medium duty and f550 forks, I just picked the best fitting one and made sure to secure it good! Usually have to double pick though

Awesome video man. Might consider duct taping the bearing cups on the universal joint though. Don't ask me how I know lol.

How come you dropped the driveshaft instead of putting the transfer case in neutral?
We always remove the drivline if the drive wheels are on the ground, avoids any and all liability.
Do you have a video frame forking a 4wd f550 from the front?
