- I normally don't do requests for drum covers because most people want you to play the most outrageous cover that I have no clue how to play. However, when someone commented I should cover Witch Image by Ghost, I just had to. I love the song and I love Ghost; a match made in heaven! The song is not too difficult and I nailed the cover in one take which normally doesn't happen! Thanks for the suggestion, Moran Shetland.

Witch Image is actually so underrated, it’s definitely one of my favs
I can't believe it's been 5 years since I've done that drum cover! I couldn't really remember how it sounded, so I went back and watched it again. I do recall enjoying playing it but that drum kit sound kind of made me cringe. 🫣😆 I think I've gotten much better at the mixing aspect of my covers nowadays. I appreciate you checking it out and leaving a comment! 🙏😎🤘

Is that China a triggera pad? Cause triggera is only brand I’ve been able to find electronic china pads.
Hey Evan! Yes that is a Triggera pad. It's ok, I mean it works just fine, but playing it is loud and hard on the hands. The construction of it is a steel plate wrapped in a layer of a firm rubber material. But it does the job and look's cool! Thanks for checking out my video!

LOL, that's funny you say that because it is one of my most favorite covers I have done. However, I don't know how you can tell since I never make many facial expressions. I've been told I am too serious when I play...well I like to be accurate as possible and I am concentrating. 😊 Thanks for checking out the video and the comments!
@@RedGearMusic Yes I completely understand the concentration part. I guess I can say as a fellow drummer I can tell when someone looks like they're enjoying playing the song or not; idk, it's a certain way the person acta, and this video gave that feel, with the facial expressions and all

I agree that a lot of the newer'ish Ghost songs have that hair/glam metal feels. I miss their old style now and hope they go back to it in the future. Songs like Spirit, Year Zero, or Per Aspera Ad Inferi were some killer songs! Thanks for the comment and hope you like the other Ghost songs I have covered.

Nope, they have had the same singer the entire time, however, the band themselves (or better known as The Nameless Ghouls) rotate out pretty much every album. Anyways if you liked this song, checking out my other Ghost videos and I bet you will start liking them.

While I do love me some Metallica, both of those suggestions I just don't have that "OMG I have to do a drum cover of this song" like I do with most of my covers. Thanks for the comment and the suggestions.
I've said for the last 30 years that women should go for the drummer not the guitarist, why? Because we can move all of our bodily appendages in different rhythms at the exact same time and have stamina and endurance for days....

Hahahah, that's funny. My wife says I look cute drumming...I don't see it. I always have a serious, concentration face going. Guitarist are pretty good with their fingers though, so.... 😂🤣

Great drumming! It sounds like you are using a VST like EZdrummer or so...the drums sounds great but the music audio is too far back in the mix...it should be a little louder imo...and the drums might just a touch too loud...no offense intended just trying to help
I am using Superior Drummer 3 and SDX packs for the sound. As for the mix, I do this on purpose. I am not going for an equal mix, because then you won't know which is me playing and the actual band :) I have to to back off the mix so the original drum track is not heard as much...
