Here are links for the builds: Daytona link-up: filebin.net/4zb8p452vaxdamfn All you have to do is add the Daytona 2 ROM to each one and it should be ready to go. And here's the link for the the Le Mans 24 one: easyupload.io/tv28kl (oh yeah, Le Mans 24 works in a full speed network now too - watch this space for more info...) Just replace the executables in both the master and slave folders from your Daytona folders with the one in the Le Mans zip. The links are valid for one week (slightly less now), so get downloading now whilst you can! *Edit:* I'll also add a link to my video explaining how you get a network set-up in supermodel using the old method. gm_matthew's zip files come with everything ready to go, but in the video I explain how you can create batch files to launch both versions of the emulator simultaneously and also how to change the settings in the game's test menu: th-cam.com/video/CXzI4AfqrEQ/w-d-xo.html
hello, I follow your instruction about network setup and everything function at 25 fps with 2 PC. In order to have 60 fps I replace SDL2 and SDL net.dll and supermodel on P1 and P2 folders (2 players network connexion was good until I replace it ) but then Its not working, the message networkboard not present. Any idea ? What is the difference between supermodel.zip (link you propose) and Supermodel 857 ? Net files are the same ?
@@florianpetit8147 Supermodel 857 Net files are not the same as the ones in the link. That's why it's only running at 25fps for you. Try re-downloading the zip from the link and setting it up again. The person who uploaded it has now modified it to include the SDL2 and SDL files and the Config and NVRAM folders, so it should all work for you now at 60fps.
To go from Daytona USA being above anything the PC can do at the time to being able to emulate it 4 times on the same computer with mid-line hardware just shows how far both this emulator and PCs have come in general
Yep, it's pretty incredible. I had to get a new GPU in order to play the original Daytona USA full speed on my first PC and when the very first public version of Supermodel came out, it could only play Daytona USA 2 at around 20fps. It's pretty amazing how far things have come.
I love this video! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍 To be honest in multiplayer, Scorpio should be red and yellow with the number 41 white, and the Hornet Classic should be red on the car and yellow on top the roof, the hood, the trunk, and the side skirt gray with the number 38 blue. They should show player 1 on the top of Scorpio on-screen and Hornet player 2 on the top on-screen. It is such a fun and best video! 😊😊😊🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍
Hi Mate, fantastic tutorial on the networking side for this game. I have everything working but the only thing I is that when connecting 2 PCs the framerate is about half. you mentioned this new netcode, do you by any chance know what version or build this is on I can get? im currently using SVN 860 Release. is there some special release I can download that implements this godlike network code?
LOL figured it out...for those reading the latest 860 version does it have implemented. make sure in network you check network AND simulateNet. Leave Emulatenet off of course if doing over 2 PCs like I am. there you go...fricken sweet. cant wait to play
This was a special build someone else made with the new network. They uploaded them to a file sharing site, which I put some links to in some of these videos, but for some reason all the file sharing links had an expiry date of just one week. I was under the impression that the new network had been incorporated into the official builds now, but someone else was telling me they can only get the games running half speed over 2 PCs, so maybe it hasn't. I think you'll either just have to wait for it to appear in an official build or you could join the Supermodel forum and see if there are any links to the alternate build there (I haven't been keeping up with what's happening in that regard over there).
