This is an excellent video, and I really enjoyed the "wake" view shots from this ferry. This is my favourite class of ferry other than the Freshwater class, and I will be sad to see them retired when Dawn Fraser is finally decommissioned. Excellent video. Well done. 👍👏 BTW:This is my third attempt to leave a comment on this video and I hope this one sticks.
I recieved this comment about a hour from writing this and thanks john! There are problems with youtube where sometimes you have to click newest first and doesn't give me a notification or youtube just deletes for whatever reason. And the rivercat is my favourite class on the sydney ferries fleet
@StateTransportRegions4167 Hooray!! I am happy that my comment survived, and I am happy that you liked it. I like to be able to go out on deck, especially on the bow, and to be able to open the windows, which isn't possible on the new replacement ferries.
@@aussiejohn5835 the main issue with the replacements is your not allowed to go on the front deck nor is there outdoor seating + there is less capacity. If I were the Government I would have put these toddler ferries on the lane cove river maybe up to north ryde and order a more suitable replacement which is the size of the rivercat, has both outdoor seating on the front and rear deck while retaining the modern feel
@@StateTransportRegions4167 The replacements are definitely not suitable for the Parramatta service for the reasons you have given. I agree with your Lane Cove River idea and a new replacement with outdoor seating.
