Most ryan poles rookies in 2022 made huge improvements in 2023. You already saw 2023 rookies improve at the end of the season. Rookies are not done growing and learning. Wait until they are in their 3rd-4th season. I expect this defense to be a top 5 defense in 2024 months if they can get a an edge rusher like Verse or Turner
They will be top 5 without edge rusher.. they already top.10 top 5 vs run. . keeping continuity. It will only get better. Adding the elite talent we about to....is scary!!! Sweat now has a off-season to get even better in this defense. We loss Iggy due to injury but I believe we gone upgrade his spot. Walker billings Dexter all capable starters and improved but will be in rotation. I hope we get a provem vet of equal or better speed and talent opposite sweat and another rookie pass rusher. Plus a vet 3-tech from trading back.. we can get both vet DL if trading back with Washington. Payne and Allen. They cleaning house

Look at sweat immediate impact in better fit scheme. He just like peppers. We're rebuilding that lovie era defense. Edwards and Edmonds were specifically targeted bc they fit like Briggs and urlacher. Stevenson drafted bc compared to Tillman. brisker compared to Brown and Harris. Just like Jackson and Johnson was. We have to add that pass rush depth . I'm in VA and have to not only watch them every Sunday but I know few ppl. They bout to rebuild...poles gone definitely trade to team that's cleaning House. CALEB FROM DC. magic Johnson in front office. They know each other well. We need a 3tech and DE. They have both and getting new scheme. They will be on the block buddy. Bears already inquired bout Payne last yr. But they resigned him. I'm sure if traded we'll benefit financially too. Not having to pay everything although we can afford to. And all 3 of them back together..the chemistry. DO THE MATH.

Think we need Newton from Illinois 3Tech is the engine of Flus I like DeX Sr but I don’t he’s elite as a pass rusher It’s seems like Poles drafted him a little too early
I like Newton but I'd rather go WR or Edge at 9 with the talent in this years draft. Newton is good but probably a top 15 pick. Gervon has all the tools in the world to be a 10 year starter for Chicago. Like I said he needs to work on some stuff but he's a young player just entering his second season in 2024 so give him some time. I'm all in for adding some depth at DL tho🐻⬇️

Dex has to work on building his leg strength. He'll continue to struggle against the run without powerful legs.
