My first shiny in Kitakami was a shiny Spinarak, too! Before I even went into the town, I was catching Pokemon in the tall grass. I was battling a Poochyena & I saw a bug crawling in the background. I ran up to it, thinking it was a Nincada, but I was so surprised when I found out it was a shiny, especially when it was so early into the DLC.
Nincada sadly isnt in scarlet violet 😢
If pokemon were real you'd single handed starved all of humanity with six Snorlax XD

I don't know if anyone has any ideas or tricks. But, in past gens I loved shiny hunting. I still do, I also can play the game for hours hatching eggs or doing raid battles. Yet, when I try to hunt for something small like Spinerack somehow all the running and looking round gives me motion sickness. Ruining any fun.
Yeah and it can be pretty straining on the eyes for small Pokémon which is a shame

As a fan of bug and ghost type pokemon, I was THRIVING when I booted up the DLC. Yanma, Spinarak, Volbeat, Illumise, Sewaddle, Chargabug, Litwick, Poltchageist, Duskull, Phantump, Purple Oricorio outbreaks, Annihilape outbreaks, hisuian basculin, a new applin evo + bug tera applin, it was all NUTS.
If you ever wanna do in person content any shiny hunter will have more then enough patience for fishing and will prob enjoy fishing

I used taunt, t wave and everything, it only had beat up as an attacking move, so it struggled, but I was prepared with heal pulse, and I still ended up master ballin it, because of surprise trading I managed to get multiple master balls as a held item from hacked mons, but I had only gotten 3 and hadn’t used a single master ball ever b4 unless as a joke aside from 6yo me
@@SoftwareLearningify I had multiple master balls too, but I don't think the Pokemon they come on are hacked. I dumped a lot of them into Home and if they were hacked Home would reject them, it didn't. And I have five more master balls for the Indigo Disc DLC later this year to use on those new legends/myths.
Jangmo-o is my favorite Pokemon (yes I have a odd favorite) so it's nice to see it praised for once.
My 1st shiny fail in Scarlet was a shiny koffing...I didn't know it had memento!!! 😭😭😭 I got redemption the next hour & found a 2nd & caught it.

My shiny fail was seeing a shiny ralts and I went to save but I dropped my switch and it button pressed picnic so a picnic was set up which resets all the pokemon and it made me cry 😢 but I did find a male one later on and made it into gallade
