You need to research the origins of fascism. The Father of fascist philosophy was Giovanni Gentile. He was a Socialist. He maintained that Socialism was the path to Fascism. He developed his philosophy based on his interest in entomology. He felt that society would function more effectively if it was organized like an insect colony, with a central authority supported by drone enforcers and every one else being equal and identityless workers. You need to research the origins of fascism. The Father of fascist philosophy was Giovanni Gentile. He was a Socialist. He maintained that Socialism was the path to Fascism. He developed his philosophy based on his interest in entomology. He felt that society would function more effectively if it was organized like an insect colony, with a central authority supported by drone enforcers and every one else being equal and identityless workers. Constitutional Republicans do not fit this mold. The Constitution is based on individualism. Trying to control individualists is like trying to herd cats. Trying to control Socialist, Communist, Fascist collectivists is like trying to herd sheep. It is easy to do because it is their nature. Therefore, why we refer to Democratic Socialists as "sheeple".

I’m sorry having an event downtown bashing Antifa is not provocation. I would think Andy understands this by now. Human nature calls for order, organization, which you seem to regard as regimentation even though nature itself shows that order is necessary for long term existence that doesn’t lead to extinction.
The USA by contrast is the only society established in history as an experiment in self government by people who were originally responsible only for themselves and those they by free choice chose to support or associate with.

Extremism no matter on what side is always a problem. Sadly I fear we will never learn. It's like we have created these "teams" that must always compete with each other and the opposite side will always been seen as the "enemy." Even though most of the time they want the same things but the hate has blinded us to see that.
Joe keeps missing the point. It doesn't matter if it was just a few antifa members assaulting Andy. They didn't denounce the violence, the organization didn't denounce the violence, and no one tries to stop their comrades' acts of assault. Antifa condones the violence, so this isn't a "couple bad apples" issue. If your organization has members assaulting people, and it won't denounce them, it's time for you to found a new organization without the violence.
Antifa is a completely disorganized group with no leaders or hierarchy. There are plenty of anti-facists and anarcho-communists that immediately renounce all acts of violence. Are all capitalists responsible for every act of violence committed by a right-wind protestor?
