I wonder if there was any sort of power Yonah could have gained to help, like Seere had the Golem and his stories. I wished we could have met more of her. She was such a sweet girl.
Once this song gets going, I am just frozen. I can't do anything but listen to it and finish it for these 15 minutes. Zero will to leave its haunting beauty for even a moment.
Well it really left a good scar in my soul. A good one. A lovely one. To this day, I get all watery-eyed (is that how it is spelled?) with some memories of the game. Truly, NieR is just as art as the Shadow of the Colossus.
Nah, this is the boss music for Grimoire Noir when you fight him in the Library. I think you're thinking for Song of the Ancients Hollow Dreams from that one sidequest.
Well you have the 40 year old man in Gestalt so it would make better sense to be a father. In Replicant he's what..20? So yeah I can see the brother thing
I loved this game... Though why they changed the Main character for two different systems and changed the title still escapes me. Still the same storyline.
It's really wild. Especially when you realize that it's meant to be the kid and then you think back to this guy giving his whole "But we're friends, right?!" spiel and it's like "Ohhhh..... Dat's why he's so weird there...." Still prefer papa Nier though, it's way more distinct and compelling and it also fits the whole fairy tail aesthetic of the game way better to have this gruff sort-of woodsman-type character going around causing all the problems.
Bulky Ugly Old Men.... Funny. And I made this comment a year ago. ._. However, I would probably prefer the Brother's connection rather than the Father's. If you think about it, the brother grew up protecting his little sister, as if it was all he ever knew. So it takes a heavier toll on him, but he also must be a father to Yonah since he's all she has So he has both the Brother's roll along with the Father's. It's fucking heartbreaking.
Except when you are a father and have actually accepted that role and not ran away like some do, your actual child is literally everything you have. And extension of yourself. So the Papa Nier story has a facette the brother one cannot have.
the father version of Neir is a lot sadder compared to the older brother., for me the father Nier is a lot sadder and bitterly sweet to the very end :') anyone else agree with me?
Dedede63 it's not that it's more sad but in the brother version there are some details that u don't get in the father version like the fact that the brother tried to sell his body to sex hungry people to get money for his sister and the fact that emil is gay u only see that it's obvious in the brother version
You should definitely buy this game, it's a gem and something that will leave a mark in your life. Trust me.
You were right
I confirm
You are right.
@@bloodnighttw If you didn't play this game one PS3 then you a massive poser.
i got the remade version. haven't finished yet but i can tell it'll affect me the same way automata did

God i love this song. Cant wait to hear it again in the remaster!

Thank you for these extended tracks. They mean the world to me.

11 years ago baby
Wait so this is Emi Evans singing a duet with herself? dope lol
ohh this is where devola and popola sang together ^__^
Even the name of this song is epic
It's the other way around... Father in Gestalt, brother in Replicant.
i just remember they sang the song together at some point in the game
The best song in this game by none!!!
Yes, the game is available here in 'merica. It didn't really get a lot of attention though.

I was making an estimate.
Replicant (Ps3) Brother, Gestalt (Xbox360) Father. If the game had come out for PC, it would have bee a lot better, and more known...
it's on pc lol
@Metroidkalib Two different people, same story concept.
Brilliant.
Well you have the 40 year old man in Gestalt so it would make better sense to be a father. In Replicant he's what..20? So yeah I can see the brother thing
The different main characters work better for their respective release zones, the title change relfects who the main character is
is this out for the States ?
@SuP3rNo0l3 If I can remember, they are related, Brothers I think

Yeah, they song it together for a side quest.
Cece ??? No, that was Hollow Dreams, not Fate

It came out around the same time as bigger more known tittles so no one bothered really.
Actually, in Replicant, Nier is Yonah's father. For Gestalt, he is her brother.
the father version of Neir is a lot sadder compared to the older brother., for me the father Nier is a lot sadder and bitterly sweet to the very end :') anyone else agree with me?
real life makes me sad enough, so I prefer a less-sad game actually.. XD
Nah life isn't all that bad but i love this game for that quality :)
Dedede63
Definitely.

@@muhannabasalem574 Yoko Taro's a weird guy huh
ooh... audio quality just got shot.
2 different audiences.
That much I figured out, but it was kind of stupid...
