PILE INTEGRITY TEST ON PILES, PILE CAP CONSTRUCTION

The purpose of a pile integrity test is to evaluate the integrity of a pile and to detect any flaws in the pile ¹. The pile integrity test is used for a variety of purposes, including ²:
- To determine the continuity of the pile
- To detect defects such as cracks
- To detect necking
- To detect changes in cross-section
- To determine the approximate pile length (unless the pile is very long or the skin friction is too high).
The most widely used non-destructive integrity test is the bubble point test. The bubble point is based on the fact that liquid is held in the pores of the filter by surface tension and capillary forces. The minimum pressure required to force liquid out of the pores is a measure of the pore diameter
