- On this episode, Dan (dd speed shop) and myself come up with a plan to surprise our buddy Brandon by rebuilding his car. Its a 1957 chevy that I pulled out of a junkyard a couple of years ago and gave it to him. He's never driven it but that's all about to change. We're taking it on a 1000 mile roadtrip called Hot Rod Power Tour.
Haters gonna hate.. I'm not a fox body guy but I want to see the build.. please post it! And forget the haters.. they can go watch something else. Hope to see ya this week.

I'd love to see the Mustang, no matter what's under the hood. I'm 100% Ford, but I totally get SBC and LS swaps. It's called hotrodding. Screw those that complain about what you're building. There are a million different channels they can follow if they don't like what you're doing. Carry on and hope to see y'all next week
100% all i am here for is watching people enjoy what they are building(doing it with skill is a plus) and driving if he is happy that is all the reason in the world to do it if goes fast and strait even better

Everyone needs a Buddy like you Dave. You are a true friend . I have more respect for you than ever my friend. I also think you have found a good friend in Dan to come 1,600 miles from Canada to Georgia early to help out. That says a lot for him also .

Reminds me off my son in law and me engine swapped my son's 84 z 28 camaro while he was away in college ,what a beautiful thing caught on camera .my daughter n husband bought a 350 racing engine from a drag racer friend .God bless yall real good, iam an old fart that loves L S ENGINE SWAPS. Man, I was really excited to see that fox build. It's a bad ass car, if I could go back in time, I'd do an LS in my old sn95 that I sold. Power is power, make it fast.

The tractor engine removal is super pro level. Engine hoists are for when you have too much time and someone else is paying the bill. When operating solo with the front clip still on the car using the bucket with a come-along and a light touch on the hydraulics is the way.

I just got a 4 door 57 hardtop that I am working to get road ready. Can't wait to start touring with my 4 year old.

Hot rodding was built on taking whatever engine was cheap and available and swapping that into some other car. Shame how some people have forgotten that and ruin things for everyone else.

Awesome gesture you all are doing for your buddy and can't wait to see this go together. As far as your mustang project with the LS engine and all the haters commenting just keep on doing it exactly how you want to with the time you have to build it and the parts you have to use. You're not the 1st guy to race a Ford vehicle with a general motors engine.

Well, that's a damn shame, I would have loved to have seen the LS go into the foxbody, as well as everything else that went into that build.... Shame you let the haters get to you, David, that drag-a-drive build would have made for a couple great episodes.

Love the fox body. I am building a 1985 fox but going all ass backwards. 1985 vin s 318 with a 5 speed. I also just finished a 1985 reg cab short box ranger with a 2005 5.3 LS with a 4l60e.

Because It would be Awesome to have a friend like you , not that my friends are bad but my 1972 No a has sat for years and I'm the one who is usually fixing everyone else's cars or what ever needs worked on . But that's Awesome and I have seen the DD's speed shop video where they got there . Great video man , I like 57's but always wanted a 58 Chevy , I'd be happy withe either though.👍👊

Dave, what a great friend to have! This brings back so many memories back from a great friend of mine who use to live in Deepgap NC. Rick Duncan (Ricks classic cars and trucks) use to call him Dr. D because he could restore and rebuild like no one I ever met, he now lives in Virginia about an hour and 20 minutes from his old place. Dave, Dave,Dave would love to see videos of you throwing together the 57 in 3 days, that would be some awesome content!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a Ford guy thru and thru, but I would like to see that fox body. I appreciate all stuff that's fast and or cool. It's your car to build how you want. I wouldn't have put an LS in it, but I understand why people do.
I'm totally a Fox body guy but absolutely no hate. It doesnt have to be Ford powered for me to still love it. If Ford guys can't recognize the LS for what it is then there's no helping them. I am seriously considering LS swapping my Fairmont Durango because its just a good platform and I could get the thing running and driving way sooner than trying to keep it SBF. I want to see more of that car Dave!
