Happy for Wilco. Can you imagine a starting line-up with Ox, Bongi, and Frans Malherbe and then on the bench coming up the second half Wilhelm Steenkamp/Thomas Du Toit, Malcolm Marx, and Wilco Louw. :) Long day for opposition front rows. That is powerful!
I am soooo happy that Wilco is in the squad. Have been a huge fan of him since his start with WP/Stormers. I think that he can bring a LOT to the team if he shows the willingness to fit in with the team ethos. He undoubtable has the skill and ability.
Watching Wilco Louw dismantle the full Leinster pack in the semi last year was something else. I’ve always somewhat questioned why he wasn’t ahead of Koch, but obviously you can’t go wrong with either.
People seem to forget Thomas du Toit was always a loosehead. He started in the Super Rugby final as a 19 year old at loosehead. He made the change to tighthead later.
Jan Hendrik Wessels plays Loose Head, Tight Head, 4 Lock, 5 Lock and 7 Flank, - Hooker is his new posistion since he is 21 years old, he is an excellent Lock.
He’ll get a chance at some point. Mchunu is a loose head, Malherbe and Koch aren’t. Also props can play until they’re older. We have so many props, we’re not going to have problems.
Sometimes when my kid is playing in games where one team is outmatched. To keep it fun and fair they take some players from the stronger team and put them in the weeker team. South Africa should have to do that with props. Not using Du Toit as a TH is just taking the piss, if you consider what other countries are doing.
Why do you want your tighthead prop to play like a flanker. Pick Camaron Hanekom. Wilco will see that he has the freedom to run. Or stick with Thomas du Toit if you want a fat loose forward.
@@jamesbond8191no he cant at springbok lvl hes a 7 and 8 you need to be specialist fetcher unless you are siya otherwise just like the bulls you wont be able to steal ball
The logical thing to do then is play the Bulls front row together, but that means leaving either Marx or Bongi and Ox out? Nah . Swapping 3 to 1 or vice versa never works. I played prop they are very different. We have tried this before and it has failed every time.
@@jamesbond8191 Yes he did. Last year in round 18 of the URC. Steenekamp Grobbelaar and Louw was up agaisnt Ox, Bongi and Koch. The Bulls dominated them at scrum time. The Bulls won three scrum penalties and a tight head scrum to zero penalties for the Sharks and no tight head scrum. It was a good battle but the Bulls won that battle.
Du Toit played all his schoolboy rugby and early professional rugby at loosehead. The Sharks moved him to thighthead because they had Beast. I still think Du Toits best position is loosehead.
@@wlk2408so what the stormers also outscrummed the sharks ik because i remember the game fouche had his number no kitshoff either so don't think it compares when ox tries his best he wins
Finally Louw gets in...hope he plays....id love a Bulls front 3 against wales
I think this is a definite when we play wales
I see a SAFFA Eggchasers video and I drop everything and watch!

Insane
Vincent Koch is an amazing scrummager as well. I personally do think Wilco is slightly better though.

Finally !!!!! Surely he is our main 3 for 2027.. old Fransie is definately going to be too old
Could not be happier for Wilco.
So happy that both Grobbelaar and louw in the team. Feel sorry for Wessel but he is young enough to be selected at a later stage
That doesn't look like Manchester behind you Tim?

Not at this level. He would be a short lock, and a bad jumper, if at all. And he’s not a tighthead surely.
I wont be surprise if Louw was chosen and Grobelaar for practise sessions in the week ...
thx tim objective good content gaint of creators
Ntuthukho Mchunu should be next in the line. I doubt Malherbe, Kock, and Kistchof will make it to the World Cup.

Tim, " scary for all of us" but not so much for you 😂, I think you have adopted the Boks as your next " close to my heart" team 😂😂😂

Thomas Du Toit will probably cover loose head now, with Malherbe, Kock, and Louw at tight head.
@3:03 a wild cat appears hahaha
I would like to see Wilco Louw used like a Coenie Oosthuizen...coming at speed receiving a short pop pass from 2nd or 3rd phase ball.
Richard Bands v Carlos Spencer move! 👍

wessells also used to play lock in high school so he could lowkey cover for that also🤣🤣🤣
Yes, and Eben played centre and wing for the second team at school, yet we do not expect him to be able to do that at test level.
Wessels played lock at Varsity level and under 20's, Jake White make him last year a Hooker, when Wessels reach 25 years he will be a monster.
No he couldn’t. Not at the Bok level.
A missed opportunity not to find a way of including Hanekom, Nohamba, Edwill vd Merwe, David Kriel & Henco van Wyk.
Only way this squad gets better is replacing Marco with Cameron.
Wilco Low luv in😅
Now Rassie must drop Van Staden (stupid player) and bring in Hanekom.
Eskom covers Siya, hanekom doesn’t
@@dabu8701 Hanekom can cover all 3 back row options.

Hopefully test refs in Nov much better than URC amateur refs that do not reward SA teams enough for strong scrums in URC matches
@Tim you said you tweeted in 2020..... have previously looked for you on Twitter. Do you still have an account?
Yes, but don't use it.
I think Rassie watches your Chanel Tim, just you mentioned that about Grobbelaar and boom he is in 😂😂😂
Tim kan Rassie niks wys of leer nie
Rassie weet van Al die talent.

Jesus those quads are diesel.
I hope in one game we play 1. Du Toit and 3. Louw with Ox and Malherbe on the bench. Good luck with the scrums.
