Never saw her in concert, but bought all her albums, she was my favorite and same thing, I sat there and cried watching her funeral on TV that day. She was the Voice.
And she didn’t have to show everything…. To let you know she was woman!! She had class! Came from some of the best singers in her family! They are all amazing! ❤️Tennessee
The voice is so good he had stop the video and pause. Try hearing that voice when she first hit the music scene. The world was floored and she was gorgeous.
Check out these songs by Whitney Houston as well “Heartbreak Hotel”, “So Emotional”, “Greatest Love of All”, “I Have Nothing ”, “ Run to You”, “All the Man I Need”, “ Where Do Broken Hearts Go”, “ I Believe in You and Me”, “ Queen of the Night”, “ I’m Your Baby Tonight”, “I wanna Dance with Somebody”, “ How will I Know”, “ Just the Lonely Talkin’ Again” “ For the Love of You”, “ Love will Save the Day”, “ Didn’t we Almost Have it All”, “ Saving all my Love for You”, “ My name is not Susan”, and “All at Once”.
I will be 100 yrs old bumping this songstress... Amazing voice!! You should do a reaction to her rendition of the national anthem. Voice skill is ALIEN status! RIP Whitney.. 💜 Thank you. Great reaction Cutie Pie!! ❤❤
Whitney was gold. But she was just a girl who wanted to sing and be in love. Watch old interviews of her from 1983-1985 before the global fame, she was just like you and me but she had this gift inside her and changed the world.
I love how you are shaking your head to this song…me too…there’s nothing else you can do when you hear beauty of that caliber. Have you watched the movie The Bodyguard? It stars Whitney and Kevin Costner You think she’s beautiful in this video…you should see her in that movie!
That song is so so moving; her voice totally out of this world! One of my favs from Whitney! 🤍Not sure if you know this Twon but her cousin is the great Dionne Warwick and her mother is the gospel singer Cissy Houston. It’s in the blood baby!
🐐. I know opinions always vary on any topic, but I’ll never understand if anyone doesn’t think she’s the greatest. There’s nothing about singing that she can’t do better than the next singer, and then you throw on top of it insanely great stage presence. Always had the audience in the palm of her hand. And this is in no way a genre I listen to. She’s just that great.
I first heard this song in the fifth grade. I was blown away. She was the most beautiful singer with probably the most beautiful voice ever. Her death really upset me. She was also a talented actress. Listen to more and watch her movies.
I see I taught you well. You know good music and she was my favorite singer of them all. I should of played her while y'all were younger, cause music just isn't the same anymore of how it used to be. Good Reaction Son!!! Keep up the good work❤️
Keep on learning about the music young man......no disrespect intended but I'm so happy to have been alive and old enough to remember this and so much more....you seem to really enjoy going down this tour of music....Salute
If you think she was gorgeous here u should check out her video for her song "EXHALE" from the"Waiting to Exhale" soundtrack.. She was I think the most beautiful on there
Hey Twon, great song, great singer. So much was demanded of her….she must have felt drowning under all the pressure…then one wrong turn, one mistake and she went from an icon to a human. Where were all the loved ones to stop or help her…say no to her. We all need that at some time in our lives. Can’t judge, I wasn’t there….all I know is whenever she opened her mouth to sing…something almost miraculous happened..I was struck dumb with the God-given gift she had been given. She was a lovely person, generous and kind and joyful..taken to soon. Her singing “Jesus Loves Me” lights a fire in my soul, every time…that is how I choose to remember her. ❤️🔥❤️🔥
When Whitney did this album she had to re-do the whole thing because her label said she sang "too black"! So when you hear her live from this era, these are the vocals she wanted
I still cannot imagine what it was like when Whitney was young before she was a star and Luther Vandross also hadn't become a star and Luther and Whitney would sing back up for Cissy Houston. To be in that room would be amazing. You know Luther and Whitney are singing their hearts out together now too.
Nailed it. Power and sweetness all in one, very rare. I always choke up hearing “run to you” from the Bodyguard sound track. It was at the height of her success and after 5 more years of perfecting her singing style. Absolutely breathtaking and uplifting. A little gospel influence for sure. And now she is gone….too soon.
She was singing at the church from a wee child. Check out Cory Henry (for his keyboard skills…. With Snarky Puppy on ‘LINGUS ..WE LIKE IT HERE…’ and other songs
Great reaction to a great song. I’ve also enjoyed the old school soul you’ve been exploring so I’m giving you one of the most iconic performances of all! time. The Godfather of Soul James Brown doing Please, Please, Please live on the Tami show 1965.
Saving all my love for you live on the David letterman show. All the man that I need official Live video. In Return live from Japan. A Quiet Place live. Get a feel for her gospel power.
I feel the way you do, Twon, about how such an exceptional talent could end it all like she did, and be so hooked on drugs. Didn't she realize? I guess addiction is like that. Perhaps extreme selfishness does that. Maybe it drives a person to do nothing but become great, and only because they are thinking primarily about themselves. Didn't she see what she did to her daughter and family with the addiction? I cannot fathom living like that. All the money in the world to get healthy, too. How sad for her family to have to watch. Same thing with another of my favorites, Marvin Gaye. I can't understand.
@@scm021374 I heard, in an interview with her brother, that he started her trying drugs early in her teens. He accepted responsibility for that, at least. So she was primed for Bobby. What a shame!
Undoubtedly the prettiest person I've ever seen. It boggles the mind almost to think of all that she had as one person. Please check out one of her earlier live performances, this one at a huge concert in London singing "Greatest Love of All" th-cam.com/video/OLKSfdYcRXY/w-d-xo.html (turn up quality)
Compare Whitney to Angela Bofill, that beautiful Latin ballad/jazz singer who had two strokes, with the last one damaging her vocal cords, but she kept coming back and didn't get strung out on drugs. You should see her performing later in life, singing and playing steel drums. Twon, you'll like Angela and her accompaniment in "I Try." She also sang, "I want to love somebody" th-cam.com/video/wgA4u12HeoE/w-d-xo.html
One of the greatest female vocalists of all time. It's just a shame that she found a man who introduced her to the drug scene resulting in the gradual dimming of her light and her eventual untimely death.
Her breath control was amazing. Her head voice, belts second to a rare few. But no one could ever replace her tone.
Whitney possessed one of Greatest Female Voices of the 20th century. Bar none. What a gift! What a GIFT! RIP Whitney Houston.
🙏🏽👏🏼😍
THE GREATEST
Whitney is and always will be my favorite. Love her.
The only celebrity for whom I shed tears when hearing of her passing.
Never saw her in concert, but bought all her albums, she was my favorite and same thing, I sat there and cried watching her funeral on TV that day. She was the Voice.

Well Stated 🙏🏽😍

"I have Nothing" might be one of the BEST vocal performances of the 20th Century yo! #FLAWLESS
She was so beautiful. Her song "one moment in time" came out after the space shuttle explosion. It is amazing!

You know that you're the bomb when no one else than Barbra Streisand says you are the greatest singer she's ever heard! She did say that.
She was the BEST vocally and in beauty!❤ No one could sing like Whitney before or since!
I feel you brother!
She didn’t have to show her body naked to amaze us.
She was one of the best ones.
I love your reactions so, so, so much!! Whitney was AMAZING!
You might as watch all of her vids. She was the one. And was sooooooo pretty but cool because she didn't take no crap.

This is when hervoice was still good. After 1990 you start to hear the effects of her smoking whatever she used to smoke.
She was smoking before 1990 but her voice was low control stamina breath mezzo soprano after 1998 but still powerful
Her voice was fine up until 2004. She was doing bodyguard around 93-95
