Passed my test last Friday, just trying to get my foot in the door. I'm ready to live and breath tramping. Great video as always 👍
Cheers dude appreciate it, hope you find sonething decent soon.
Very accurate video. My lad, single bloke, is a tramper in the North East. In and out of the docks, working in the vehicle manufacturing sector. Early start on Monday, finishes by 2pm on Friday. Clears 900 a week and when he gets his quarterly performance bonus takes home 1100.
Good info to know. Thanks for that. Just filled out my application forms. Keep the info coming please for us newbies. 😊
Cheers dude appreciate it, and best of luck
I passed my C1 a month ago and start my new job full/semi tramping delivering steel they’re willing to take me on and give me a chance and train me up. I start the 8th of April finish my last day Saturday as a tyre fitter so gonna have 2 weeks to myself do a bit of fishing etc. All thanks to my old man knowing the right people goodluck to any new passes I know the struggle been getting turned away for the last 6 weeks you’ll get your foot in the door eventually DONT GIVE UP!!!
Awesome mate, i was also a tyre fitter previous to truck driving. Was the best decision i ever made!
Had my ADR since January. Can't get a job that needs ADR though because I ain't got no experience have I?
Lord give me strength.
Yeah ADR always want a good bit of experience unfortunately.. i had a friend that done his adr when he done his test 2 years later still not used the adr
I have a full CE licence but i drive a class 2 bin wagon. I start at 7 and usually finish between 13:30 - 15:30 depending on my round. I take home around 2k per month on £14.55 an hour. I must add i get paid 8 hours regardless of my finish time. Over time is time an a half. Bank Holidays is double pay plus a day lieu
Used to be up to 1500 per week for me when was doing store delivery. 75h per week no nights out but no life, self loading/unloading, delivering to narrow places blocked with parked cars. Was a good time to gain money but switched to general haulage where 700-900 is average 1000-1200 if 6 days away
Still not a bad wage though for what we do i guess.
Thats what I do, supermarket work suits me though! 😍😍😍
Who is for? Tesco?
@@DomWayne no, clothes store
@@truckitprayle Yes I'm happy with that. I find it more interesting and I learn new things
£1000 per week take home, would equate to £60000+ per year gross. Probably 5 percent of drivers will be doing that and it will be specialised work doing 6 days one week, 5 days the next . £5-650 a week take home for 50-60 hour week on day work and £6-750 a week take home for a 60-70 hour week with 4 nights out on tramping is the norm at the moment.
I want to get into trucking specifically to do tramping. Willing to work six days a week. I live alone & I have no social life so whether I'm sat in a truck or in my flat makes no difference to me.
Go for it mate!
I net nearly a grand. I do basic general haulage 6 til 6 with load bonuses. It really isn’t that hard
Yeah I do day driving and I'll stick with it, don't fancy tramping. Plus, I have a young family so don't like being away from them. I've got a little class 2 job on the tippers very close to my home. Do Mon to Fri 7ish till 4ish. Money isn't the best but it suits me down to the ground and the work/life balance is decent.
Some times thats more important mate 👍
Spot on . Happy now to drive what I'm given 8-10 hrs per day own comfy bed at night 😁. Pass the trampers in laybys and think no thanks. Each to their own.
Thats it mate, i don't mind doing the odd night out but with having a young family id much rather be home most nights.
My sincere apologies to everyone, I said things here that I shouldn't have said.
Just because I am upset with my situation in this country it does not give me the right to offend anyone. So please accept my apologies.
If one is unhappy living in a different country, then this person should go elsewhere. That is me now, I am trying my best to leave, because I don't think I belong here.
But I'm sure that it is not the same for everyone. I hope that this crisis goes away soon.
Mr. Prayle, you are a good example to the newer drivers with your awesome videos. I have also learned a lot from your shared experience. I makes a lot of difference to me. Thank you.
Yeah don't worry mate, everyone is aloud an opion and im sure alot of people agree this country has slowly been run intonthe ground and the future doesn't look good, but we xan only hope and pray. I hope you sort out something that works for ya mate.
The best I've earned in the North East is £960 in a week, some at over £800, average for nights is just over £740 (50hrs) and around £690 days (50hrs). That's agency though and rates vary between contracts. Example is I was on £18ph Monday just shunting at Team Valley, tomorrow I'm trunking to Rochdale for £16ph. Different clients, different money. Permanent jobs in the North East look to average at around £600 for days, £670 for nights, some pay a lot more but hard to get in with them. £600 doesn't sound much but our cost of living is way lower than the south so it balances out.
Exactly mate it's all relevant to where you are i guess, i don't take that much a week but i earn enough to sustain my needs.
I'm from Ukraine. We have 400 usd as a monthly salary and food prices are like in the EU or in the UK. Guys, I want to thank God I have opportunity to work in the UK
Have you been here long or just after the war?
Hope your family are all safe and well!
I'm working in the North East class 1 trunking only earned 50 k last year averaged 44 hours per week and you get an annual bonus of up to 4 k on top, I would never do tramping sleeping in a tin can ain't for me
Yeah it's not for everyone mate.
Shitting in a lay-by 5 days a week tramping fuck that.
I do day driving.
Hi mate, what video editing software do you use if you do not mind me asking?
Video maker mate
Got 960 last week after tax, that was for 60 hours working Sun-Thurs, doing night fridge trunk work, usually average about 700-800 a week after tax
Not bad at all is it!
@@truckitprayle As a relative new pass Class 1 (Sept 2023) I’m not complaining - currently getting about 1 Class 1 route a week (with about 6 reverses, half are tricky) and the rest of the week in a Class 2 trunking
There we go perfect to gain that important experience. 👌
Tramping on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern works well for me
Yeah i used to do 4 on 4 off loved it.
Just work for an agency self employed should be around 1000 a week but its a shit job i make more a day now selling on Amazon
Nice one 👍
I am a trucker tramping the best 👌
Would you say your a trucker or a driver? 😅
Is that £1000 per week in your hand or before tax?
Depends on how hard you work mate its possible to take home over 1000 a week if you put in the hours.
Netting a grand a week, 0500 til 1400, one container delivery, one run a day, no weekends, no nights out, no late finishes, always home for dinner, brand new wagon of choice, speed limiter set to 59, 0-5 mile commute, loads of bonuses and perks, 14% pension ... count me in
Not a bad little number mate, how long you been driving?
Yoo I want that job man
name of company?
I think he is being sarcastic 😆
@@W12super I want that job too. That would be my dream trucking job.
Supermarket work is your way to £1000 a week starting at midnight to 2 am or via the agency
I'm class 1 I've been trying hard to find these rdc jobs where are they genuine question!
@@Adam-os6sv There's a lot of these jobs down in Kent and they pay about £180-200 per shift. see them advertised every week.
@@Adam-os6sv where about are you ? I’m at Tesco and they’re always recruiting drivers at the moment was my way in via the agency when I started 12 years ago as they do they’re own assessments so maybe look for your local depot
@matthewsavidge6248 I'm midlands based mate. I don't want to touch agency's I've got a mortgage but I really want to do rdc work I just never see them come along anywhere
@@Adam-os6sv ok there Peterborough or Doncaster sort of in the midlands for Tesco of course be others for sainsburys and Asda etc, don’t wait for it to come along get in front of them just get intouch with the DC’s transport departments and put yourself forward 👍🏻
I was doing class 2 Agency work and 7.5T last year was on £700-£800 a Week no Tramping Mon to Friday Nights no weekends driving Refrigerated trucks easiest work u can get.....
Nice one, so what are you doing now then?

Atleaat your able to do a bit of agency in the interim.
@@truckitprayle at moment just doing the HGV Bootcamp Class one by the way the place where i doing it got the funding from Govt for the Next 2 years nows the time to do it but it taking ages 16 weeks because of all the online stuff u do before i can do the Pratical due dvla waiting time and Govt HGV Boot camp REQ so they booked me onto the Bus Drivers Bootcamp and it only 5 days no online zoom sessions as i have class 2 already thats starts 10th april that been done as well with possible job at the end of it...and the CPC is included in the course

Hello brother Iam UAE HGV license holder and 1 year skill im uk move how much pay in 1 hor ❤❤❤
No idea what you're talking about
@@truckitprayle A class truck salary bro in uk
14-17ph
If you're tramping though, Wouldn't you want to max your hours every week? I mean not much else you can do so may as well do as much to earn as much
100% mate, just personally with my lifestyle at the minute trampings not for me.
@@truckitprayle Yeah it is a massive commitment i can only imagine
Id like to do it abroad some day i guess but have to see what happens
@@truckitprayle Yeah European would be the ultimate dream for me
1350 a week for me
Nice!
Try and find whatever is knocking around that cab before the next video, ir was very distracting
Yeah theres a annoying rattle i can't seem to find out the cause of it
@@truckitprayle either something in an overhead bin, or the camera rattling off the mount id say
Still can't figue it ourmt it's driving me mad 😒
@@truckitprayle just watch the camera as your driving, see if its rattling around or hitting the dash/ windscreen, maybe its something like a pen you have on the dash hitting the windscreen or something like that, maybe youve just got something lose im the truck, give everything a shake test and see if anything's slightly loose, maybe a few screws need tightening up, or maybe you have just developed a fault in the truck and it needs a mechanic
@@truckitprayle and check your recording equipment maybe you've got something loose on it or rattling around inside it
Before tax or after? 😂
Haha well both depending on how many hours you do lol
£1000 a week, not very good. £52,000 per anumm
After tax national insurance,it's bugger all,and it's a pretty shit job.
£1000 after tax.
Bro, £1000 a week is not very good? I guess you have a PHD in Medicine or you're an Astronaut
@@FiboFractal.
You try living in London on that money.a flat is 350,000,a house is 700,000 rent is 2000 a month.
That have my qualifications got to do with the evaluation of the cost of living?
@@jpldriver Ok I see what you mean. I'm aware though that salaries depend on where one stays in the UK.
I actually moved to Leeds from London 20yrs ago because life here is cheaper.
I live alone & my total living expenses per month are less than 1.5k so 4k would offer me an opportunity to fatten my bank account.
@@FiboFractal. Yes,it would where you live!
The cost of property and cost of living is impossible in London!
£1000 aweek for a toilet cleaner.. toilet 🚽 cleaner here I come
🤣🤣🤣
To be away from home 75% of your life. Be subject to all the regulations as well? Nope, drivers who earn 1k per week is nothing short than being a slave. Stupid choice.
Definitely not for everyone mate.
