Creative Blur with ICM Intentional Camera Movement

When can a blurry photo be great? When you create blur intentionally by moving your camera, lens or both during a long exposure. ICM embraces the power of play, flexes creative muscles, and can result in fascinating impressionistic images.
Join Bellevue (WA) based travel photographers John and Lisa Merrill for an online workshop exploring ICM photography. They’ll help you learn “panning” to freeze a moving subject against a blurred background - a great technique for wildlife, sports, outdoor recreation, and transportation. You’ll also learn how to add blur to still subjects by shaking, twisting and/or zooming during long exposures. John and Lisa will share example images created in the Pacific Northwest and around the world to illustrate their favorite ICM tips and techniques, and inspire you to dive deeper into the playful and powerful world of creative blur.
