I love your mom! She is so much fun. Such a good sense of humor. The first item you took out of the closet, I had to laugh. It was the exact cane that my husband is currently using after having knee replacement. What a good feeling of decluttering.

You ladies are so funny together I couldn't help but laugh (in a good way) when your mom started playing with the cane on a 15 minutes challenge! I got rid of all my table cloths, mismatched bed sheets and all holiday accessories such as holiday salt & pepper shakers, plates etc. All this stuff was beginning to overwhelmed me!Sending you and your mom a big hug from Ontario Canada🤗🌷⚘

Me too! I packed up all my Winterberry Christmas dishes and sent them off to a younger family member because my immediate family is down to four and storing all those dishes was weighing me down.
@@AZHITW I totally agree it does weigh us down! I used to go to Home Sense all the time (Home Goods is the equivalent in the U.S.) but now I only go if I need something specific which is not often! Also, I had so many cookbooks/decorating books/magazines I donated them all and cancelled my subscriptions. This decluttering mindset makes me save so much money! Cheers and take care!🙂🌷

I forgot to say, When I became minimal, I got rid of all my seasonal tablecloths and got two sizes of off white in the grid pattern your mom had ( in red, I believe) and they work for every occasion we have for company. For every day we just use play mats; so much easier to wash one or two as they get dirty!

Table cloths...those are a challenge for me as well. I decluttered mine last year but I need to do another pass. I've still got way too many and don't entertain often with those anymore. And the cords...I need to let some of those things go. I have a whole drawer of cords. Wow! Your mom got rid of a lot of stuff. I am loving the 15 minute decluttering challenge. And yes...the quarantine pile to decide on later. thanks for sharing your process.

I love you mom's sense of humor. We're using light colored old sheets and tablecloths to cover our plants in the crazy 100+ heat here in the Pacific Northwest! (Also in our crazy March ice storm!)

Great job! I threw all of the random vacuum parts out. I got tired of trying to find a place for them and didn’t use any of them... like ever. My guess is that if you don’t know whether or not they even go to your current vacuum, you don’t use yours either!
