The fact that you mentioned that you're not offended by hyunsuks hairstyle and that you liked it shows that you're a non toxic person hahaha i mean some people are always making a big deal and issue about some things that are not even necessary. People who uses or like other peoples culture and appreciate them and respect it is a good thing.
People being offended by cultural appropriation does not make them toxic in the slightest. People are very validated in their opinions over ppl partaking in their cultures while being uneducated
Except black people aren't respected. Hip Hop is the most popular genre in America, and what does that do for us? We're still experiencing police brutality, black stereotypes are still used in casual conversation (on the news even), etc. etc. The list of grievances is looong, and a few Kpop artists borrowing our culture when its time for a hip hop concept is hardly ever cultural appreciation, especially since many of these Kpop artists openly mock dark skintones and participate in blackface.
wow, I love your braids comment, never thought about it that way!!! (well, I'm not black either lol) but seeing the positive side to it is great. I've watched non-black yt reactors react in to his cap in a totally opposite way, lol, so your reaction beside theirs is interesting to see

for everyone a bit conflicted about the whole concept of braids and where they came from and why it doesn’t bother me... please continue reading lmao. A lot of bitter people in these comment section. Understand that braids date back to 3500bc somebody outside of a black man wearing it, does not hinder black cultures success. As long as they are not claiming to have founded the style or created it, nothing is wrong. If you do not know, there were TWO original reasons braids were even created which date back before slavery. (1) It was an expressive form that many considered an art, you can see this represented among many Egyptian names, (2) in the context of slavery it was a form/way to help slaves conserve food, they would braid food within cornrows to help distribute among other slaves at a later date. When i say a vast majority of us don’t care i’m not speaking for us as a whole, i’m speaking through general knowledge. The goal as humans, as black people as individuals is always to continue evolving and growing as a species. The ultimate goal should be unity NOT supremacy. If you think otherwise that’s perfectly okay. ALSO here is the timeline for those of you that can clearly see that he is wearing Box Braids: AFRICA was credited with cornrows during the 3500bc, box braids date back to egypt during the 3100s, Native americans wore Pigtail braids during the fifth century, and Europe with the crown braids from 1066-1485. Also be mindful i’m not pulling shit out of my ass, i’ve studied the African diaspora as well as a vast majority of other socially economic factors through a large portion of my time during university. Im not here to argue though i’d gladly hop on a discord call with you and we can talk about it like people not animals. Nowadays cancel culture just be cancelling anything. Please stop riding the wave and think for yourself 😪 Also if your opinion is otherwise, i hold nothing against you! It’s okay to express yourself without breaking someone down. As i said i don’t speak for all of us but i’ll gladly have a normal conversation with you about the topic of appropriation ❤️

Black supremacy is not okay lmfao...no kinda supremacy is good...also people living in the west need to get outta their bubble honestly its embarrassing...to us living in asia(I'm from india) this is seen as appreciation...in fact everything that the west sees as appropriation is seen as appreciation here...and these are eastern artists...there is a difference in culture and the way we think and look at the world..and its incredibly racist to tell us that the way we look at the world is wrong and yall(who have been downgrading the east for centuries) are ALWAYS right.....
Glad you brought up hyunsuk's hair. There seems to be a huge drive against cultural appropriation in kpop at the moment and I feel its led largely by international fans that don't seem to understand the difference between cultural appropriation and cultural appreciation.
2:46 wasnt Haruto, that was Junghwan. It sounded like Haruto but it wasnt him. He was the first rapper of the video. Haruto has a super deep voice. Hes very easy to distinguish. Also 6:05 was Jeongwoo not Mashiho. Mashiho was at 5:02
i super appreciate what u said about the hyunsuk's braids. a lot of fans (including me) were so afraid of that the boys are getting backlash. coz you know, cultural appropriation. i'm surprised that a positive comment came from u. i was on the edge of my seat that u might notice it and not like it. it's nice to hear a different and favorable opinion. wow, i did not see it that way. but thanks to u, i'm seeing the positive side of it. that it could also be cultural appreciation. come to think of it, it's quite fitting coz mmm is heavily on the hiphop genre which is a musical legacy of your race/culture/history.
Linton can I ask about Hyunsuk's hat😭? others are attacking him and I really want to know if it is really a culture appropriation or only appreciation huhu
i can speak for a large majority of the culture as to where i can safely say, him wearing his hat/hair the way he is... there’s absolutely no problem with it!
@@ninissi6631 who owns the culture. Get a grip. Dreads have been popularized by hip and rap culture. A culture created by black people specifically American black people. We are tired of cultures using our hair as an aesthetic. You can be a rapper and not do this. There a plenty of black rappers who don't have braids or dreads. The hair is trash.
This ALWAYS happens in YG and Kpop. They can't help themselves. They have use black culture as aesthetic. How about just showcase you talent. You would gain far more black fans that way.
Pls dnt mistake his opinion regarding braids as speaking for all blk people. If people are not comfortable with non blk ppl wearing braids then they are validated in that.
It honestly upsets me that just because on reactor said he was fine with braids you all think it’s okay? He doesn’t speak for all black people (and I’m not saying that he thinks he is I’m talking about the comments). As a black woman who has been discriminated against for wearing her hair natural, yes braids are a big deal, but the history is much more recent than you guys might know. In America black people are still discriminated against based on them wearing their hair natural or in braids or in other traditional hair styles. People have been fired, kicked off sports teams for too long braids/dreads and more all within the last couple of years. So to see a kpop artist having that same hair and it being totally acceptable but it’s not yet acceptable for actual black people to have that hair? Doesn’t seem right. And I’m not saying that Treasure should know all the ins and outs of black America and the racism here. But since many of you in the comments want to talk about how much YG cares about black culture then I’d think they should have done the research and realize how harmful cultural appropriation can be.
Came here for this comment. We’re seen as ghetto and thuggish when we wear natural hairstyles (braids/afros/locs, etc.) The non-POC’s are just eating it up though.
I feel sorry for how you are being treated there in your country but this is the more reason why I support people to be more comfortable with what style they want to wear as long as it's not meant to disrespect anyone. My family is in US, I live in Europe and we are all Asians. I'm aware of how bad discrimination is, I've experienced it many times too. We should be going against those who discriminate and not those who appreciate.
I really understand you guys but all I’m asking is to not blame the artist. The artist have NO says in what they wear. And him being a rookie they have even less Says in what they wears . I see people attacking and saying they’re disappointed on him but this is really not their fault. In this industry they do as what stylist says. They maybe give you more liberty to choose when you’re a senior but as a rookie they can’t decide
@@keeveen2706 agreed I’m more angry at YG for continuing to put their artists thru this when they have the power to education themselves and their artists

thank you for pointing out the braids. 🙌
Thanks for reacting to my babies ❤️
It’s so funny reactors said it’s futuristic well it’s new Yg building it’s not Futuristic coz it’s really Exist 😆😆😆
The fact that you mentioned that you're not offended by hyunsuks hairstyle and that you liked it shows that you're a non toxic person hahaha i mean some people are always making a big deal and issue about some things that are not even necessary. People who uses or like other peoples culture and appreciate them and respect it is a good thing.
it’s the realities of toxic energies alongside cancel culture nowadays man. the goal should always be Unity not Supremacy
You know treasure well 😁 , i love MMM and orange
0:33-0:36 THISSSSS ive never felt smtg so hard😘😘😘 i feeel u bruhh!!
wow, I love your braids comment, never thought about it that way!!! (well, I'm not black either lol) but seeing the positive side to it is great. I've watched non-black yt reactors react in to his cap in a totally opposite way, lol, so your reaction beside theirs is interesting to see
I'm terrified shocked shocked! How much TREASURE is only better ... since debut it's only a hymn proud of more of them struggled a lot! Congratulations !!!!! ❤️

Thank you for your reaction to Treasure's MMM!
thank you for watching!
for everyone a bit conflicted about the whole concept of braids and where they came from and why it doesn’t bother me... please continue reading lmao.
ALSO here is the timeline for those of you that can clearly see that he is wearing Box Braids:
AFRICA was credited with cornrows during the 3500bc, box braids date back to egypt during the 3100s, Native americans wore Pigtail braids during the fifth century, and Europe with the crown braids from 1066-1485.
Please stop riding the wave and think for yourself 😪
Also if your opinion is otherwise, i hold nothing against you! It’s okay to express yourself without breaking someone down. As i said i don’t speak for all of us but i’ll gladly have a normal conversation with you about the topic of appropriation ❤️
You typed all of this for what? You won't get a seat at the table.

@@anirmala1876 tf does this have to do with black supremacy??
YG 🔥🔥🔥🤘🏻
Glad you brought up hyunsuk's hair. There seems to be a huge drive against cultural appropriation in kpop at the moment and I feel its led largely by international fans that don't seem to understand the difference between cultural appropriation and cultural appreciation.
2:46 wasnt Haruto, that was Junghwan. It sounded like Haruto but it wasnt him. He was the first rapper of the video. Haruto has a super deep voice. Hes very easy to distinguish. Also 6:05 was Jeongwoo not Mashiho. Mashiho was at 5:02
you’re the best for this!
@@LintonWilson I'm a treasure fanatic. I love them

Thank you for this 🥺💕
thankyou for talking about the braids, and i love ur reaction knowing how u also know ygtb! thankyou i appreciate the clarification, subscribed!
Thank you so much for your comment regarding braids it means lot i was really worried about it 🙏
i super appreciate what u said about the hyunsuk's braids. a lot of fans (including me) were so afraid of that the boys are getting backlash. coz you know, cultural appropriation. i'm surprised that a positive comment came from u. i was on the edge of my seat that u might notice it and not like it. it's nice to hear a different and favorable opinion. wow, i did not see it that way. but thanks to u, i'm seeing the positive side of it. that it could also be cultural appreciation. come to think of it, it's quite fitting coz mmm is heavily on the hiphop genre which is a musical legacy of your race/culture/history.
thank you for this
I hope you will react to HYNN-The lonely bloom stands alone....the high note is insane
Louder at the people trying to speak in behalf of who owns the culture.👁👄👁
@@LintonWilson you are not speaking for me and the hair is offensive and trash.
TREASURE🔥
Yes bro
This is you YG STAND
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!! WE LOVE YOU! 😭💙
Funfact : they shoot the mv scenes inside YG new building
I'M LOVING HIS REACTIONS AND CHOICE OF WORDS HUHU
Pls dnt mistake his opinion regarding braids as speaking for all blk people. If people are not comfortable with non blk ppl wearing braids then they are validated in that.
I cried when you supporting HS hair..... Really thankful and grateful 😭🙏🏻

"i can speak for a majority of the community-"
no my nigga you cannot tf u get outta saying that😐😐😐😐
its really invalidating when u say stuff LIKE that yk 🙁
crazy
@@LintonWilson i asked you a question
what do you get outta saying that
It honestly upsets me that just because on reactor said he was fine with braids you all think it’s okay?
THIS!!!
Treasure is in 🔥🔥🔥🔥
