For more Marco in Nightwish check out The Islander at Tampere where Floor sings backup vocals near end of it, or the Nightwish cover of Pink Floyd's High Hopes or Phantom of the Opera and others. That Buenos Aries crowd was the best. A very excited group of people there. Best I have seen in any other concert.
I love that look Emppu gives Floor at 4:34. It's like he's thinking, 'Day-um, woman, you crazy'! Such a feel good vibe from all the band, who are having a (Nuclear) blast, and this transfers to the fans, who are going nuts! The atmosphere looks electric. And Floor showing us she can not only sing, but she has some moves, too. And all this when she was suffering from a heavy cold, and almost lost her voice earlier in the day!

Part of their vocals blending so nicely is them just being very good singers.
Marko has sung with three different female vocalists in Nightwish and pretty much always blended nicely with them. (Marko is a male lead vocalist, not a backing one.)
They are pro enough to adjust their voice to match the other singer.
Hi from the UK Lauren. Just another day at the Nightwish office! Floor is Dutch and is classically trained. Floor can really "sell" a story with emotion, expression and her vocal gymnastics. Nightwish instrumentalists...there are no words. Always epic performances, sometimes inclusive with audience participation and brilliant compositions, which take you on a journey! The uilleann pipes are the characteristic national bagpipe of Ireland. Earlier known in English as "union pipes", their current name is a partial translation of the Irish language terms píobaí uilleann, from their method of inflation. Great reactions and analysis. Great reaction Lauren! To me it's not only the voices, but also (mainly) the fun they have on stage. And in this one, Floor clearly is on a roll. That alone makes this THE best rendition of this track.

I wonder if that is one way to avoid copyright detection. One of the reasons to use official videos but of course there's no official Buenos Aires live in TH-cam.
Troy is playing the uilleann pipes which are the Irish bagpipes, but they do not have a mouth piece, so only get the air from a below powered from the elbow and they have a softer sound.

2:50 maybe 2 years late, but if no one else responded, that instrument is known as Uillean Pipes. They're the Irish version of bagpipes, except instead of using your breath to inflate the bag, it requires you to pump bellows with your right arm, squeeze the bag with your left, play the chanter with both hands, and change the pitch of the drone pipes with your right forearm. It is INCREDIBLY difficult to play, and Troy makes it seem like child's play :P
Thanks for doing another Nightwish reaction! I love watching this performance for the energy and crowd participation, but I think you should also watch their Wacken 2013 performance of the same song. There is less extraneous talking so you will get the core lyrics of the song better. The audio recording quality is better also for analyzing the singing and instrumentals. Plus you get to see the funny little prank Emppu pulls on Floor. ;)
I miss the wild and magic nights with Nightwish and that beast Floor.
Insane crowd. What an atmosphere that must have been.
Also you need to pause when you talk or set your mic to be in the foreground as I cannot hear what your saying when the music is playing.

The sound seemed to be a little high in pitch.
There are some videos out there that were uploaded from the DvD and the end result, for some reason, affects the speed of the video making it sound either faster or slower.
For future reactions to Nightwish, may I recommend you look for the videos uploaded by "Nuclear Blast Records" or "Nightwish"?

This time the video seems to be sped up a bit, thus also making the voices pitch a bit higher
The Nightwish videos on YT that have speed issues are all from the Wacken 2013 Blu-Ray, and they are all 5% slower. (It was a frame rate mistake made by the blue-ray producers when they upscaled from the original DVD). I’ve never seen a native NW video for another concert that had speed issues on YT.
The issue is either in her program she uses to screen/sound capture or it was a deliberate choice by her. (I’m not accusing anyone, but some channels will adjust the speed to circumvent the Content ID system to avoid blocks (rarely an issue with NW) and/or copyright claims (to retain the monetization on their channel).

Well, I've known the speed situation has been an ongoing problem with the DvD uploads when it comes to Nightwish, and If it's true that it focused only on the Wacken 2013 concert, then it's very clear that's no longer the case here. It's better not to point fingers, that's why I didn't but instead gave her a solution.
I'm not going to make excuses or give explanations as to why or how the videos are fast or slow.
I'm just commenting on what can be done to improve the person's experience. In my opinion, I would feel cheated if that was me because I know the original is soooooo much better and enjoyable than a speeded up or slowed down version. 😊❤🤘🤘
it must be because they used a pal dvd and it was converted to ntsc or viceversa.
pal runs at 50fps, ntsc at 60fps, that's where the speed up could happen.
or maybe the audio was at 44khz but got to be played at 48khz so it got faster.
Subbed in hopes of more Nihtwish and more Floor I hope. She has a bunch of awesome covers on her YT channel as well as all her performances on the Dutch TV show Beste Zangers in 2019 singing many different genres of songs were amazing - you really should check them out. :)
South American fans love Nightwish but they are insanely devoted to Floor. Performing in front of them especially in a smaller venue than a stadium has to be totally awesome for any band. Here Floor and Marco with Troy as backup (playing the Celtic Bagpipes a/k/a uilleann pipes-air pumped in not blown) show off that harmony they are so great at. Sad reminder that Marco will be very hard to replace no matter how good a bassist and vocalist they manage to get.

This version is is sped up... the song in this version is at 146bpm
The original live version is at 140bpm, so not sure why this is slightly faster, but it's obvious to me (as a drummer I am super tempo aware)
