I always thought you’d had a bit of Botox done as your forehead doesn’t move and it’s quite shiny too which is usually a giveaway. Nothing wrong if you have as we all need to do whatever we need to do to feel better. I like your household cleaning suggestions. 👏 For extra non toxicity, we can swap out those dreadful mouthwashes for salt and hot water solution. That kills bacteria, does wonders for one’s oral hygiene the natural way. 😊
I turned 60 last bday too, Terri. One thing that is really fun for me right now is that all the 20something girls want my natural hair that i had been coloring through my later 50’s. They want my hair! I say to them with a smile, “you gotta put in the years and earn these grays, sister😊” 🎉yay me !!! I am the first in my family to embrace not covering up the “gray “ ❤
LOVE your perspectives on aging and what we can control of it! I am a 58 who is full of gratitude and embracing self love as I age. Thank you for shining your light and encouraging me to do the same!
now I’m going to look for any of your past talks on ageing menopause, etc. I just started following you and you’re so easy/comforting to listen to the little bits of humour that come in and out are really appreciated. Thanks for your content. I appreciate it from Manitoba Canada.

Aging cracks me up! 🤭😂 I’m reasonably vain and always thought I would be up for some interference…. but so far it’s no and I think it will stay that way 💪🏻 In my early 50s I noticed things (face/skin etc) becoming …….interesting. It knocked me sideways for a little while then the humour and humility arrived. However, I’m surprised to be aging naturally. I’m more concerned about how I feel so that is my priority. I went through menopause without a blip, very lucky, and I put my efforts into eating well, moving and feeling good. I want to be walking with ease up the stairs at 100 with a smile on my face. I’ve been fairly natural with health as my priority for a long time but wondered how I’d handle getting older in this world, thankfully it’s not an issue and I’m really grateful for each day. Laughter is amazing, even if it’s at myself. I have an amazing (2nd) husband and I find joy and gratitude every day. Thanks for the fun chat lovely lady, Karen 🥰
LOVED this episode and will be watching again. So much great information and extremely empowering. Thank you so much for all that you packed into this video!! Happy Birthday and welcome to the 60's ❤
This is probably the first year I started worrying or thinking about aging. I know that I can do it gracefully, it's part of life and our society sends so many negative messages about it. Do what makes you happy, I always want to ensure I keep myself up to date. My mother stopped caring about herself and I don't want that for me. You're such a beautiful being ❤❤❤
These younger people thinking they need all the anti aging stuff is because they are looking into the screen at themselves constantly. Constantly picking and judging themselves everyday. It's a sickness. I'm so glad I grew up in the 80's and 90's pre social media. I'm aging naturally and will continue. That's self acceptance and living with authenticity.
Thank you, I needed this! I've gone to a new gyno, am working with her to improve my aging troubles. Not to mention you are so correct about products. My fiance brought me home goat milk soap and what a difference in my skin. I've found a small company that hand makes their soaps and it's even better than the "name brand". I've ordered some more soaps with castor oil, olive oil and calendula flowers. It has great reviews for older skin. I'm super excited to try their stuck lotion without all the bad stuff to turn it into lotion, not to mention chemical free laundry soap! I appreciate you on this journey of finding and taking care of myself. ❤ Light, and love to you
I’m embracing my 68 years. In fact I’ve been blessed with great genes and a positive attitude. I don’t believe that health issues, physical fitness and weight gain are because of age. I do believe in staying slim and yoga to stay flexible and have good balance. Not just for looks, but to avoid getting on the Diabetes train. Gardening is my gym. I carry my 32 oz timed water bottle I refill twice. I don’t accept anything society says about aging. Too much is about MARKETING, so I avoid the media and news. My mantra is use it or lose it. You are as young as you feel, and I feel half my age. If you live life in the present, and follow your bliss, you can stay young at heart and you will glow from the inside out. My face routine is to just wash it with soap and water at the end of the day. If it feels dry, I apply a cheap non oily moisturizing cream. I rarely wear make up. I don’t wear foundation. Only a bit of cover up around the eyes with mascara for special occassions. Water is important. Seniors aren’t drinking enough. Anyway, that’s my two cents.
I’m 28 and just found out that women necks and hands age 1st!!!!!! And now I been applying my cream now!! Thank you for this can you do more on aging not a lot of content on it lately!!! ❤
I don't think I'll ever stop speaking about it in one way or another, but here are some videos I've done already! th-cam.com/video/pz09zf1qrDM/w-d-xo.html - How to Successfully Manage Menopause with Dr. Mary Claire Haver th-cam.com/video/FYZXXpjEUsU/w-d-xo.html - Thriving Through Menopause & Beyond with Tamsen Fadal th-cam.com/video/ueKFclSZ0pc/w-d-xo.html - How to Age Gracefully and Gratefully th-cam.com/video/N6ObD5wzhCs/w-d-xo.html - JUMP Into the Best Workout For Any Age, with Michelle Briehler th-cam.com/video/plEg3g4CZAk/w-d-xo.html - Dealing With Dismissive Doctors? 44 here.. I've noticed people don't look at me as much unless I dress up. It's weird that we feel fine aging, but society says we're washed up & not worth engaging with or even making eye contact. Kinda shady, humans. Especially the new gen. 🤦🏼♀️ U r beautiful inside & out so plz don't ever feel otherwise, Terri.
We absolutely adore you Miss Terri! With your wonderful can-do spirit, we will all be aging gracefully together! You brought a smile of hope to my day🎉Thank you!
Thank you Terri for this Breath of Fresh AIR! To say that you are Inspiring is an Understatement! You are the Real McCoy out to consistently make changes happen in this world. I Thank you!
Would love to hear tips from other ladies here on natural facial moisturisers. I personally use primrose oil in the evening. It's quite light. How about you?
I'm 34. I'm not afraid of aging. I just want to have character and maturity as I age. Beauty fades so if you don't work on your character I feel that's what makes someone ugly. You can be an ok looking older woman that really kept her body but poor character at a certain age turns me off
Thanks so much for the tip using castor oil on our skin. I have never heard of it being used that way. They have said that vaseline is not good for skin, that it has toxins in it. I am not a chemist expert and don’t know for sure if thats true and going to try some castor oil instead of vaseline. Castor oil would probably be really good for removing make up too. Thank you!
@@terri_cole You are correct. I purchased some organic castor oil and it says on the label “Do not use on or near eyes”. Not a good idea. It works really well for my hands.
I look at myself and see a stranger. My mother wanted blonde hair, blue eyed children, and grandchildren. I think even the youngest grandchildren eye colors are changing. I have hazel eyes. I had dark eyes when I was little, my oldest was born with beautiful dark eyes. I can admire and appreciate her looks. I tan very well, but my skin was darker even through winter. Friends would put their arms up against mine. As I age I am lightening up. It was not a topic spoke about but my dad told me his mom had native american heritage. My brother did the DNA test for his own purposes. My brother has denied the ancestry until recently. I had to ask him what was wrong with him. He had to try and deny his father and grandmother's ancestry? He said it has to be 200 yrs ago or more. Whatever. My Aunt was beautiful! In her childhood photos it's obvious. She was so loved. She had the genealogy done on her grandmother. My grandfather gave me newspaper articles and my cousin gave me the book. I am going to plan a trip to discover what I can. I have done enough research now to know if someone is French Canadian they are most likely with some native heritage. The French King sent daughter's of the king to populate but often men took native women as well. As my dad is be taken by cancer there goes my link. I do have one cousin who recognizes it. My grandmother (she was so important to me), the last time she visited, tried to tell me not to hide my face. She asked me why I did. I knew love and acceptance from my grandparents, my auntie and my dad. Sorry, I went off on quite a tangent.
Good morning, Terri. It’s Sunday morning and it’s a pleasure to watch you. I adore your content and always waiting for new inspirational videos. Have a great rest of you day. ❤😊 Kat
I listened to Boundary boss on audible. And I am currently working with the workbook. I feel hopeful knowing what I can do now. I didn't even realize what was happening. At 48, I am so thankful I found your work and something that is making a difference in my life and those around me. It feels like a really big mountain to climb but at least I have some direction now!
I typically really love Terri Cole's podcasts, but, is it just me for this one: her tips felt more of "you shoulds"? I think the information could have been presented more in alignment with her book: providing the basics of education of a variety of areas that we could learn more about, and let us make more of an informed choice. Instead I found Terri telling us the areas and types of things we should be doing as we age. I mean, that is the premise of setting good healthy boundaries, isn't it? Us making the decisions ourselves? I know she mentions what she does and is not advocating for us to do the exact same thing; but, I just felt that the tips section couldn't have been presented in a more independent, non-biased way for us to learn about the information and let us make our own decisions of what we want to incorporate. I hope that my comments is not harsh feedback perceived here, but rather I'm trying to stick with the original principles I've learned from Terri to set boundaries and be empowered for intentionality in my own life re: decisions for me to make instead of "shoulds." Thanks for letting me share.
Another taboo thing that happened and not recognized. When I was a senior I was voted for Homecoming Court. Class council want 2 winners that year but the two were put on the same court in Fall. They set up so she would get voted in again in winter. We were called in to the office, my and a friend. We were told they found votes destroyed, and pocketed. They chose the winner based on her grades. The winner and I went together to homecoming that night.
