Marco Schwarz is an unbelievable skier, skiing in all 4 categories, and I think he's the only one who is currently as comfortable in slalom as in downhill. This is a HUGE performance !!!
Red Dog! We raced this hill as Jr's and it always scared the heck out of us, and that was before modern carving skis. Steep AND terrain changes like a roller coaster all the way. Elite level skiers with modern equipment is a whole different universe.

Ja war krass, 0,50 kann man nicht mehr aufholen und Odi kann es doch, nur diesmal leider wegen 0,03 hat es nicht für den Sieg gereicht. Aber nur mit so gesteckten läufen kann man Odi ausbremsen. 1. Lauf hat ein Österreicher und 2. Lauf ein Norweger gesteckt.
Is it me, or is this second run "set" with many same gates as 1st run, and others only moved a meter or so from the 1st run? Often we see criss-crossing blue guidelines on second runs ~ but it seems like the piste constraints predetermined what the 2nd course setter could do.

1978 5 day national - FIS spring series GS/ SL the race hill in the same location . watching even the best alpine racers having a true test of their skills and strength /endurance . seeing the leg burn taking its toll by the time they get near the bottom. I remember feeling intense fatigue/leg burn at the half way mark and was thinking I am not going to make it to the bottom but I did barely😵💫. the combination of higher elevation and the constant steep hill / ruts takes its toll and it was the toughest test in our race series spanning western usa/canada.⛷

Yes its like the same. Because so can beat Marco Odermatt. First run make a Austria Trainer and second run make a Norway Trainer.
