We have two territories in Australia. The Northern Territory (NT) which is full of dangerous crocodiles and also the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) which is full of dangerous snakes….I mean politicians.

Arisa is amazing. She just might be the first female to do a 900 and what a sight that will be be. She has the drive and passion but simply has fun too. She doesn't put pressure on herself. Such a great athlete and role model for female skateboarding.

The concept of getting air, let alone SPINNING 3 times while doing it was an impossible concept 45 years ago for literally the best skateboarders in the world... it's kind of crazy that we went from Tony Hawk being the first person to ever land a 900 after like 20 years of attempting it, to a 13 year old girl busting out 720s for fun! Skating is just getting started.

Could have had two Aussies with the first 900's! The Australian skater Tas Pappas could have been the first male skater to do a 900 but for some reason wasn't allowed to compete in the 1999 X Games trick comp; despite it being known he was close to landing it. Check out 'All This Mayhem'.
Yeah, but Tas has also been selfishly complaining "that should have been me" for 24 years. Eventually you have to move on.

She blew my mind in that contest. I hope she keeps her passion for surfing, and tries pro surfing someday. But she really has amazing talent and can shatter ceilings in whatever sport she decides to compete in.

Hawk was doing the 720 before 1987. He did it in the Future Primitive video which was released in 1985 I believe. Congrats to this girl tho. She can do the 900 now too.

Why did he call 720° “2&1/2 rotations?”
You go out/up - turn a quarter/90 - do your 720 - turn a quarter/90 go back in/down. Else it would be "to fakie" aka reverse. Only a 180 would work without the halfturn (two quarters) on top.

When i was watching the Aus team VS JD on the braille vert, i noticed her and thought she looks exactly like a mini Jaence, Ricky's gf, sorry if i butchered that name lol. But thats a mini her.
Why they saying 720 tho? it’s a 900 is it not
Its fakie 720. Fakie is way easier than a regular 720 or 900
She lands facing facing the camera the same way, 2 rotations, 2 x 360. Takes off fakie lands regular 9:53
All it takes is one to advance all. Just don't keep it a secret let everyone know the trick. Progression is the word.
