How To Store Carrots

- Need to store a fall crop of carrots well into next year? Its an easy thing to mess up, but this video shows you how to make sure your crop is safely stored for later usage. No sand, no Hay, no special equipment is needed, this method can work for all sort of farms and gardens. I mean just look at how well preserved these carrots are 8 Months Later!

Amazing, that 8 month old carrot is fresh as a daisy! I've never had much confidence or success with traditional storage methods, so I tend to par boil and freeze instead, which is a pity becuse it must be nice to store the whole veg!
Great vid, thanks for the tips. I think too many people rely on grocery stores. Onions can similarly store for months but without refrigeration.

Very useful information, Thanks a lot. You visit Indian site carrot halwa, crush the carrot and cook in milk,add crush walnut and sugar.
Children will love it during winter.
You can keep for several days during winter.

What temperature do you set your Cool bot during the warm outside temps? In the video you mentioned what you do when to cold outside not sure when warmer. Thx
I shoot for 34 degrees generally. In winter I trigger the heater to come on at 33, shut off at 39.
I have terrible luck in keeping them from rotting
