Volunteers Pauline Kane & Alphonsus Cunningham 50th anniversary commemoration in Castlewellan.

On the 21st July 1973 Cumann na mBán volunteer Pauline Kane along with her comrade IRA volunteer Alphonsus Cunningham were killed while on active service in Castlewellan Co.Down.
50 years on, their courage in taking up the fight against the might of the British state is remembered by friends and comrades at the republican monument in Castlewellan on a rain swept day where the main speech was given by lifelong Irish republican Eibhlin Glenholmes.
