Very cool. I’ve been a Transformers fan since I was a kid too. Welcome to my channel. There was an interesting variety of old and new Transformers at the show. Cheers M
Transformers and Video Games you know you always got my support! Yes I Plan on attending Saturday. I was surprised to see the prices of the mp takara cone head seekers.
You did a great coverage. Was not surprised with the prices on a lot of these since it is a convention. It is a good variety of items that were up for sale by these vendors. Always good to see the displays of toys. They look amazing. Unfortunately, they are all out of my price range.
Thanks for your kind words about my video. I really appreciate it. I agree with you about the prices. Many of them were excessive. I like to offer the vendor what I think something is worth and if they accept, then I’ll buy it and if not, then I have no problem walking away. I should mention that the prices are in CAD so they are about 30% higher than the equivalent in USD. Thanks for checking out the video.
Hey Ultra Marcus. I know what you mean. I love transformers conventions and I really enjoy watching videos showing Transformers conventions from other parts of the world. I think TFCon Canada has just been delayed (for now) but I’ll probably skip this year if they end up proceeding with it. Too many people packed into a small space. I hope you’re enjoying your weekend. Cheers M
Thank you very much for checking out my video. If you enjoyed this video, I have another dealer room walk through (part 1) which is linked in the description. The video is a little bit longer but you can see even more cool figures and collectibles from the show.
Hi Mark. Thanks for your kind words and for mentioning me in your video. I will be sure to check it out. I have another TFCon walk through video as well, if you’re interested in seeing what else was at the show this year. Cheers M
There was a lot to choose from this year at TFCon, but you gotta be ready to fork over some serious cash to get most of them, even the MPs are quite expensive, nothing under 100$, but they look sooo amazing, and the Third Party stuff as well, you can't help but be amazed at some of those creations, that Sky Lynx is simply stunning! But I didn't not find everything on my list, which was a bit of a letdown, Combiner Wars and Titans Return figures were almost non-existant, would have loved finding a CW Devastator, but settled on Titan class Trypticon. And I also saw a woman with a tattoo of a Decepticon symbol on her shoulder, now that's a fan! Anyway, that was a nice coverage of the convention, M!
You’re quite right about the fact that MP figures can’t be found for under $100. Certainly not any more. Yeah, those 3rd party offerings are something else. It’s a rabbit hole that I can’t let myself go down. I didn’t see the woman with the Decepticon tattoo but that would have been really cool. I didn’t see much Combiner Wars. There was a vendor in the corner that had Titans Return though. I was considering buying the undersized CW Devastator but decided not to at the last second. I may still grab it at some point. I’m glad you enjoyed my coverage of the show. Cheers M
Thanks again for sharing these vids bro, the dealer room looks fantastic, so many bots, makes me really look forward to TFN now. I really enjoyed seeing all those G1’s, hoping to get a few while I am at TFN
My pleasure, my friend. I’m really pleased to hear that people are enjoying them. Some people can be critical about videos like this just for the sake of being critical. If you have time or any interest, why not take some TFNation footage and share it with your viewers. They tend to be popular videos.
Hey M.. Superb look around TFCon.. Growing up i really wasn't interested in the 'Monsterbots' at all.. But as the years have progressed and my collecting habits have changed seeing the third party version in the display case just really hooked me.. I thought they looked stunning displayed together. I was good to see a 'Nucleon Quest Optimus Prime' also.. You just don't ever see those in the wild ever. Great video and thanks for sharing.
Thanks Rudy. I agree with you. Those Monsterbots look pretty amazing, especially as a set. It’s amazing how our tastes change from the time we get back into the collecting hobby compared to where we find ourselves years later. Nucleon Quest Optimus Prime is a great looking figure. I have the G1 reissue version of it. I’m really glad you enjoyed the video. People have been responding favourably to what I have put out there. This video is the last of my TFCon coverage for the year. I did the same thing last year. Cheers M

Hi River Run. Funny, I actually bought myself a gently used, mint in box MP-01. It’s the Hasbro version, identical to the one that you see in the thumbnail for this video, just to the right of Unicron. You’re right. The dragon neck detail looks amazing. I wanted to take more footage of The Chosen Prime’s display but my camera’s flash started malfunctioning and wouldn’t turn off and it was causing a really annoying glare against the glass case. Thanks for commenting. Cheers M

Hi M, hope you had a great time at TFCon and many thanks for two excellent videos of the dealer rooms and display cabinets. It looks like a was a great mix of not just Transformers, but other great 80's goodness to. In your first part, I loved seeing the M.A.S.K toys, particularly Raven and Hurricane. I was lucky enough both of these as a kid and loved em both. On a different note, was that a Transformers themed rail set around the 11:24 mark if this excellent video? If so very cool. As far as my favourite figure from the dealers - I would personally go for the Takara Masterpiece Megatron (G1 limited edition). Love the look of this figure. As for what was shown by third party in Display cases, I would again go for Megatron, this time the Masterpiece Transmetal - looks awesome and I can see my wallet hurting over the next few years. Thanks again brother and I'm going to check out your Convertor video shortly. Cheers Greg
Hi Greg. I had a really nice time at TFCon. I’m glad you enjoyed the dealer room walk through footage videos. I try to show other cool stuff at the show. I really like those 80’s wrestling figures and showed a box of those (I should have bought a few). The MASK figures were awesome but just too expensive. That was a transformers themed rail set. In fact, I was at a toy show last year (not TFCon) and took some footage that included a vendor opening up that exact set for me and showing me inside. The thumbnail for the video is a closeup of the train set so it should be easy enough to find the video if your interested. It’s one of the 5th video I did in my channel, if that helps. It was called Durham Toy Show - Part 1. I love that G1 Limited Edition MP Megatron. It looks so amazing with all that chrome. Thanks for such a great comment, Greg. Cheers M

When I circled back for things that I was interested in, they were often sold already. Oh well. No biggie. Thanks for watching and commenting, my friend. Cheers M
Wow the one dealer had MP Cordon for 175$ seems high, maybe that figure shot up in value. I know you and Joe bought one for much less. Well I know I said it before, but nice smooth walk through. 👍
Yeah, I noticed that Cordon was priced a little bit high. I’m not sure what the going rate is these days though. I can’t imagine there being a huge demand for something like that unless it was underproduced and there was suddenly an interest in it for some reason. You’re right. We paid much less for the figure. Thanks for your kind words about my walk through. I’m glad you enjoyed it. That’s the last of my TFCon coverage for another year. Cheers M
Transformers and Video Games Well it was some real nice steady and slow moving footage which is hard to do. Yep it’s a wrap for this year. I think everyone forgot about TFcon already. The internet broke this morning with Haslabs putting up another crowd funded project. 27” tall Unicron. He transforms into planet mode and looks like the 86 movie. Priced at 575USD. If you have time you should go to hasbropulse and watch the video. It’s neat. 👍
I remember watching old toy con footage and feeling motion sickness and everything being blurry and distorted because they were moving too quickly. I took my experiences as a viewer and try to learn from them and avoid repeating the same mistakes. I need a new phone so whenever I get around to getting one, I should have an uptick in video quality as well. I saw a still image of Unicron. He looks pretty amazing.
That was a lot of good stuff, and was that right? SDCC Alternators Nemesis Prime went up in price?!? 🤨 oh but I’ve would’ve love that Preceptor 😲 $40 is a really good price 😲 Great M ✌🏽👍🏽
Hey brother. I’m not too sure of the actual value of SDCC Alternators Nemesis Prime these days but I wouldn’t go by pricing at the show. There were a few ambitious vendors there. That is a great price for Perceptor, especially if it’s vintage and complete. Cheers M
Hi Dragonball. You’re quite right about some of the prices. One thing I should mention though is that they are in CAD so they are about 30 percent higher than if they were in USD, due to the exchange rate. Thanks for checking out the video.
Hi Dennis. I think part 1 of my walk through might have had more 3rd party transformers than part 2 did if that’s something that you’re interested in seeing. LOL...there were deals to be had in the dealer room but it took a bit of looking depending on what you were in the market for. Having said that, the sellers were also pretty open to negotiation. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers M
@@TransformersAndVideoGames I saw part 1. It was more third party but still pricey. That's where we differ. I don't haggle, not on anything. I simply say my time is too valuable, if you want the sale, give me your absolute best offer and we will see. If I like it, sale, if I don't, I walk away, no second chance, make it good. I'm a very different cat lol.
My experience is that they often build a buffer into the price so that you can negotiate and feel better about saving a few dollars. I usually don’t go back and forth with a seller when I negotiate a price. Often I will either make an offer and tell them that’s my strongest offer or simply ask them what’s the best price they can give me and make a decision. Cheers M
Dennis Moulton AKA GotBot man I found awesome deals in the dealer room. What I find is that I try to grab a few at once, and if you ask their prices you can find some wiggleroom. I found a misb encore fortress maximus for $250. Sometimes you just gotta ask lol.
Hey brother. Hmmm...I hadn’t thought about it until you just mentioned it. Probably not. It would be a super short video. I only made 3 purchases. Did you and up buying a lot of stuff this time? The Fortress Maximus was such a great buy. Cheers M
You’re quite right. Some of the pricing was way off but one thing to keep in minding that the prices are CAD so they will appear higher than the USD equivalent. Cheers M
Hi Audie. Excluding admission, I spent exactly $295 CAD. I came prepared to spend a lot more money. In a few cases, when I went back to buy something the figures were already sold. Thanks for checking out the video. Cheers M
Yeah, TFCon is a fun convention to attend if it’s ever in the cards. There one in the United States every year if that’s a little bit more convenient for you. Thanks for commenting. Cheers M
Why are the prices so high? Never seen so many TF figures cost so freakin much. I can get most of those bots for so much cheaper at my local hobby toy shop. Are these convention prices bc usually venders look to sell tons of thier stock for low cost at places like this so they can make room for newer product. Love the selection but cost is to high up.
Yeah, the exchange rate is terrible for us here in Canada. If you have an opportunity to attend a TFCon on the United States at some point, I would nightly recommend it.
Hi Richard. It looks worse than it is. The prices are in CAD so that appear about 30 percent higher than what it would be in USD. Thanks for checking out the video.

🤨 oh but I’ve would’ve love that Preceptor 😲 $40 is a really good price 😲
Great M ✌🏽👍🏽
Hey brother. I’m not too sure of the actual value of SDCC Alternators Nemesis Prime these days but I wouldn’t go by pricing at the show. There were a few ambitious vendors there. That is a great price for Perceptor, especially if it’s vintage and complete. Cheers M
$275 for MP Thrust made my eyes water
Yeah...that pricing was just plain silly. I paid less than $100 USD for mine on clearance at a major on-line retailer earlier this year.
Got mine for 30, just had to rearrange the shoulder parts. Hell those were probably the same defected ones.🤣
Wow, you got yours for an incredible price. Talk about a great find.
And people complain about Unicron being 547 look at prices for 3rd party consumers all together they make 600 and more for combined set
Hi Dragonball. You’re quite right about some of the prices. One thing I should mention though is that they are in CAD so they are about 30 percent higher than if they were in USD, due to the exchange rate. Thanks for checking out the video.
Seemed very G1 and MP heavy this year. I know they call it dealer room but hardly deals, is it lol?
Cheers M
@@TransformersAndVideoGames I think the trick is they need to know that this dude has no time for fiddling around.
Dennis Moulton AKA GotBot man I found awesome deals in the dealer room.
What I find is that I try to grab a few at once, and if you ask their prices you can find some wiggleroom.
I found a misb encore fortress maximus for $250. Sometimes you just gotta ask lol.
Are you going to do a haul video, M?
Hey brother. Hmmm...I hadn’t thought about it until you just mentioned it. Probably not. It would be a super short video. I only made 3 purchases. Did you and up buying a lot of stuff this time? The Fortress Maximus was such a great buy. Cheers M
Some of those prices are definitely steep on some of these products featured.
You’re quite right. Some of the pricing was way off but one thing to keep in minding that the prices are CAD so they will appear higher than the USD equivalent. Cheers M
@@TransformersAndVideoGames Perhaps, I could bag some of these figures at a later date in the future.
Oh yeah. I’m sure there absolutely no shortage of supply.
Those prices aren't deals. It's like over paying on Ebay or Offer Up.
Hi John. Thanks for checking out the video. The prices are in CAD so they probably look higher than you’re used to seeing elsewhere.
So, how much did you spend all up M?
Hi Audie. Excluding admission, I spent exactly $295 CAD. I came prepared to spend a lot more money. In a few cases, when I went back to buy something the figures were already sold. Thanks for checking out the video. Cheers M
They all look so cool I wish I could have gon
Yeah, TFCon is a fun convention to attend if it’s ever in the cards. There one in the United States every year if that’s a little bit more convenient for you. Thanks for commenting. Cheers M
Why are the prices so high? Never seen so many TF figures cost so freakin much. I can get most of those bots for so much cheaper at my local hobby toy shop. Are these convention prices bc usually venders look to sell tons of thier stock for low cost at places like this so they can make room for newer product. Love the selection but cost is to high up.
Hi Terry. I should mention that these prices are in CAD. If they were in USD they would be around 25 percent lower.
@@TransformersAndVideoGames Good to know. Didnt realize the huge price difference between the two.
Yeah, the exchange rate is terrible for us here in Canada. If you have an opportunity to attend a TFCon on the United States at some point, I would nightly recommend it.
Looks like everything was priced almost double what a joke
Hi Richard. It looks worse than it is. The prices are in CAD so that appear about 30 percent higher than what it would be in USD. Thanks for checking out the video.
@@TransformersAndVideoGames ok that makes more sense didn't realize it was Canada thanks
No problem. Thanks for commenting. Cheers
