They literally have, been doing stuff, we came out of a global pandemic and it takes time but we're doing better with recovery than all other countries, inflation is coming down, gasprices coming down, pay is up, mortgage rates are dipping, stock market at all time highs, border crossings are down, they're negotiating lower drug prices, gave black farmers millions to make up for discrimination, etc. If u only get news from the breakfast club and don't follow them, then you're not going to know half of what they're doing.

There are a lot of seniors where their prescriptions are at a least 1/3 the money of rent they pay. That's a lot of money to pay for medicine to survive.

(Long but informative read) As a Vet, my opinion based off the situation but backed by facts is that Walz is not committing Stolen Valor. He’s throwing out there as a distraction and people’s lack of understanding or just hoping on the bandwagon is fueling it. Here’s the reasons why-
- Deployment - He abandoned his troops? He submitted his retirement paperwork in 04, officially retired in April 05, their official deployment notification dropped May 05. And he was in his retirement window so you don’t need your commander, CO, or anyone to sign off on it unless it’s under extenuating circumstances. Andrew there was no stop loss active. The National Guard was never used for deploying for war overseas until Bush signed the executive order in late 2001 to prevent the draft from happening. By military definition he did deploy to OEF, whether you like location is irrelevant. OEF/OIF deployment la were not only Iraq and Afghanistan but Europe, Guam and a few other places. - Rank - People keep throwing “Stolen Valor” around but don’t understand how the promotion system works. There is a difference in rank you’ve earned and what you retire with benefits wise. Once you are awarded that rank in service (pinned/sowed/tacked on) you are officially that rank as of the 1st day of your promotion month and it is officially entered in your personal records. If you retire in less that 2 year enlisted/3 officer of sow on, you retire that rank but get retirement pay for the highest rank previously. Plenty of E9s retire at E8 pay, E8 at E7, and E7 at E6. All branches have a promotion reg that breaks this down. Ours was AFI 36-2502. When you’re promoting within the senior tier, most people run into having to make the choice of choosing to do another enlistment to satisfy the time in grade requirement for your benefits of that rank or call it quits. Nothing throws a fork in your plans if you have a year left and looking for retirement, then you find out on the results release day that you made the rank, and now you only have months until your sow on cycle to debate if you want to stay in or not to get that credit for your retirement pay.

Inflation is down to 2.9 percent. The reason prices are still high on stuff is due to corporate greed and price gouging.
