That was his mans....took him out of poverty. My father is the best dad in the world. I would hope others would say that about their Dad. Big was unbelievably dope especially the fact that he birth a lot of rappers and did it at a time where rap was incredibly simple both is influence and mechanics. Its like when the first commercial planes came out. There were planes before but nobody was tryna hop on a wright brothers product. He elevated a whole scene thats prevalent today.

Biggie’s “Fuck Me” interlude definitely was one of the best interludes for any album 😂 especially with the Jodeci playing In the background. We never got a Biggie and Jodeci song because Suge linked up with them and put them on The “Murder Was The Case Soundtrack” another classic. But once Puffy found out about this, he cut Jodeci off, thus him discovering 112, who made classics with Biggie, while Jodeci made classics with 2pac

Yeah man, Biggie was MY era, he was a RAPPERS RAPPER. No fillers, no fluff. Just heavy bars, delivery, cadence, and a seamless flow in every bar. I 13 Years old when Ready to Die released, I was 16 when Biggie passed. He was the SOUNDTRACK to my Golden Years. It's hard to believe his run was only 3 short years. Year's felt longer in the 90's.

Can't take anything from BIG, he still impresses me to this day...and like ol boy said I've never heard a colder MC. But y'all tripping if y'all trying to act like Cube wasn't as nice as BIG. Eazy Duz it, Straight Outta Compton, Amerikkka's Most Wanted and Kill At Will we're Cube's first 4 projects. Y'all telling me they weren't all just as if not more lyrically profound and culturally groundbreaking as BIG's first two albums? How about Rakim's first two albums Paid In Full and Follow The Leader? What about KRS's Criminal Minded and By All Means Necessary? LL's Radio and BAD? Em's Slim Shady LP and Marshall Mathers LP? Yeah, there were a few cats who's freshman and sophomore albums could compete with BIG's. And there're a lot I left off. Hip-Hop is 50 years old man, they're just too many ridiculous MCs and albums to name.

Illmatic was a hip hop album but biggie had r&b and hip hop and he rapped on west coast type beats biggie was kinda well rounded he could flip words like nas but still dumb it down and make a one more chance!! But in my opinion nas best albums besides illmatic was from 1997 and up but nas to me became more poetic after big and pac died!! Biggie and 2pac just made songs flow naturally and it sounds organic

    • @spurs22

Nas checks every box there is, and he’s still dropping great albums to this day. We don’t know if Biggie or Pac would’ve done that, we can only speculate. So I’m saying for that reason it’s unfair to Nas if you don’t have him in the number 1, if you consider everything
