What a lovely property with a positively magical backyard.
I'm wondering if the inset stove in the living room is vital to heating the home as I find them very unattractive, and depending upon the cost & complexity of doing so, would ideally remove it and insert my entertainment items into that hearth recess.
I am finally getting used to translating British references from ground & 1st floors to what to me are 1st & 2nd floors, but I could definitely use a bit of help with what an 'airing cupboard' is.
Lastly, would someone with modified mobility issues be able to live here easily without benefit of a car (I use Uber or public transit here in Toronto for other than brief walks)?
Also, do you ever provide listing prices with your videos, or does that always necessitate direct contact?
Thank you for a delightful tour.

No you shouldn't remove the wood burning stove to replace it with entertainment items. A crime in a period home and a style disaster. Go for a new build !

Don't forget that that style of stove inset is comparatively recent in nature. In fact, my parents had one installed in their 125 year old farmhouse in the 1970s.
As a huge fan of period architecture and features I would never mess with an original fireplace but this was clearly not true to the original home, which is why I find it so jarring.

There is central heating so I think you can

Hello @lahermitess, the log burning stove is not essential to the heating of the home as there is a central heating boiler in situ. As to the removal of the stove, this would be possible, but we would advise the chimney to be professionally capped to avoid any damp issues.

Hello @Margaretbrowne8368, we think the garden is really rather pretty, but we do understand that everyone wants something different from a home and has different ideas over style and function.
