OOPA'S Election Collection | Election Videos for Kids

During this election season, the ‘World of Words’ feels busier than ever! Young children are observant - they are picking up bits of information from their families, their neighbors, the news, and advertisements. And by nature, they are trying to make sense of it all.
The Election Collection introduces preschool, preK, and early elementary learners to foundational civic concepts and vocabulary words that will help them process what they are already observing all around them, and lay the groundwork for them to become active and engaged citizens as they mature.
Important during an election year, but also tenants of quality character education, OOPA explores various civic values in The Election Collection:

The responsibility that comes with leadership
The importance of both speaking and listening in a conversation
Like all videos in OOPA’S World of Words, these election videos for kids uniquely combine language and literacy skills, physical movement, and emotional reflection. When new words are experienced through multiple modalities, including movement, we increase accessibility to substantive learning and solidify greater retention.
Moving the body can help move the mind, allowing new concepts to be more memorable and helping our children better navigate our world of words.
