RIP Victoria taken far to soon thank you for being a phenomenal lady and a great writer and comedian your writing and acting are just second to none thank you for making my dark days liveable and happy
I’m trying to figure out why it’s so non-stop funny. I think it’s because the script is so honed and concentrated. It’s like poetry. Victoria Wood is so meticulous she writes at word level not at sentence level. Dolly’s christmas shopping woes from 0:28 exemplifies this. There’s something inherently funny about ‘bums n tums’. “She’s *upgraded me* to a cafetiere” is another. And rather than passing on the anti bacterial cream to the paperboy, she says “I’d *done* her a *germicidal* handcream but that’s not wasted, I can *divert* that to the paperboy.” Funny words making up non-stop funny dialogue.
*Who is the man standing next to "cup of tea/teabag" man?!* from around 16-18mins! There's this man with black hair who is just stunningly handsome, OMG! :O WHO IS HE?!
Play dinner lady with all the original cast and Victoria with the light the late Victoria Wood the light Victoria Wood is magnificent as Brenda and Julie Walters as a mother she's fantastic cuz she's brilliant actor Julie Waters and Julie Waters the terrific actors and actresses who got so much terrific acting between the two Victoria Wood
I love this show it was short lived but it was really something else
I love how Victoria can’t control her laughter during the “box of Willy’s” bit.

“or a could have two small teas im not bothered.”
Bob is absolutely hilarious
The acting and writing in this episode is pure genius!
Bernard Wrigley is an absolute star in this show! Give us a teabag. I’ll suck it on my way up
Without context, that could be taken a completely different way.....

Oh, I agree. 😅
God I wish they’d make shows like they used to! 😂
Me too, never thought I was nostalgic, but this quality of telly is long behind us, with odd exception. Sad emoji

Dinner lafies
Who was that hunky guy with the dark hair at 16:56 near the guy with the curly brown hair and moustache in the queue?
I don't think he was listed as he doesn't have dialogue. The moustachio'd gentleman hoping for a large tea is Bob Wrigley.
Unfortunately, as this show is 20 years old now, for all we know that guy might be as fat as a flawn and as bald as a coot by now!
@@lexiburrows8127 yeah I reckon thats a dead cert. 😂
Not certain but could be Adam Leese🦄
Does anyone know what Dolly says is in the decorations box instead of a fairy? Sounds like jā-ri-lill-i-ca? Probably spelled with a "g"...
what does, "in borrowed trunks", mean?
It means he didn’t go home last night .
It means he borrowed some other underwear from someone as he didn't have a fresh pair.
