This was fun to watch! My grandma came from this town and I was there September 2019 and 2023 visiting my family. My cousin is the mayor! The church was damaged in an earthquake and it hasn't been open in years. You walked by some of the homes of my cousins, but not my grandma's. Her home was down by the fountain and still says Petta in the iron above the door.
Wow what a great comment, I love it when people have real stories to tell, thank you. Please say thank you to the Mayor, the town is so beautiful and well kept, I will be vising again.
@@variostick9215 That's so nice to hear! If you ever go back, be sure to find him and say hi. He speaks a little bit of English. We hope to visit again next year.
Lisa, my grandma came from this town too. I am visiting for the first time in two weeks. I am sad that the church is not open, as I had hoped to walk into it. My grandparents and great-grandparents were married in that church and my grandfather was baptized there.
@@barbaradelano8127 Barbara, we are in some of the same genealogy groups. Can I send you a message there? I've tried to leave my email here, but it gets deleted.
Hi. I am the only person who can delete our hide your comments and I certainly haven't done that. Maybe it's just one of those TH-cam things, maybe contact them and see what that say.
@@variostick9215 I think it must be TH-cam. I was trying to respond to Barbara about her family and trip to Acquaviva CC. I found her on FB and we are in touch now.

Hi Ellie, hope the weather is getting better over there.
I've commented here a few times, but my comments keep getting deleted. Does anyone know why?

Immigrant not expat
Hi. Thanks for the comment. According to the OED, an Expat is, "denoting or relating to a person living outside their native country"
@@variostick9215 so all the people who come to Webster countries are expats too ?
