@@affabaffa4393a course “running faster” has nothing to do with the top runners… it has to do with the middle of the distribution running a minute faster. Are you really going to say that the average xc runner in the south is just a minute faster than the average xc runner in the northeast?
If you are not familiar with Christian Brothers Academy (CBA) in Colts Neck, NJ, do yourself a favor and look them up. One of the most storied X-C teams in the history of Boys HS X-C. They have the longest win streak of any HS sports team (at least they used to). The are continually one of the top teams in NJ, and the nation.

@ the southeast regional course is an entire minute faster than this one… so is that course just way easier than all the others?
@ no it’s just that a bunch of the top 10 runners in the country were there who all destroyed the course record
