  • This video showcases the pathways along the neighborhood in Northwest quadrant of Calgary. The video speed was changed to 200%.
My cycling adventure began in Panorama Hills, where the late afternoon sun cast a warm glow on the charming streets. As I set off, I felt the excitement of exploring Calgary's North Loop Trails. The first leg took me through Evanston, where modern homes lined the streets, and parks bustled with families enjoying the afternoon.
Continuing to Kincora, I was captivated by the beautifully landscaped pathways and vibrant community spirit. The well-maintained trails guided me through Sherwood, where the views expanded, revealing sweeping vistas of the neighborhood below.
Pedaling onward, I reached Royal Vista and then Royal Oak. Each community offered its unique charm-thoughtful architecture, lush green spaces, and friendly neighbors. As I entered Tuscany, the trails became even more enchanting, especially as I passed by 12 Mile Coulee, where the natural beauty seemed to envelop me in a peaceful embrace.
Bowness Park was a welcome pause in my journey. The park’s stunning river views and inviting pathways drew me in, and I took a moment to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, watching cyclists and walkers share the trails. From there, I ventured into Bowmont Park, where the scenic overlook offered a breathtaking panorama of the Bow River Valley, the hills rolling out like a green carpet.
As I made my way into Silver Springs, I was reminded of the tight-knit community, where neighbors waved and kids played outside. Hawkwood followed, and the elevated trails provided sweeping views of the surrounding areas. The transition to Edgemont was seamless, with trails weaving through lovely parks and quiet neighborhoods.
Nose Hill Park was a highlight of my ride, with its expansive grasslands and towering viewpoints. I stopped to soak in the majestic landscape and the setting sun, the city sprawling beneath me. As I descended toward Beddington, I appreciated the contrast of urban living with the surrounding natural beauty.
Finally, I headed back to Panorama Hills, reflecting on the incredible journey. Each community offered its own unique scenery and charm, showcasing the beauty of Calgary’s northwest. It was a day filled with breathtaking views, friendly faces, and the invigorating joy of cycling through one of the city’s most picturesque areas.
I hope you enjoy watching this video as much as I enjoyed creating it. If you like it, please hit like and subscribe to see more of my adventures.

Wow, you did some miles on that trip. Out of curiosity, how long were you on the road. We did all the way around Nose Hill Park, it took us 5 hours (with breaks) and we put 78 kilometers on the bikes. We went east to west, and I swear we were going uphill 3/4 of the trip.
