Hey Moonbo here's a little tip for farm defense: Drag all your metal and place it in a horizontal way in front of the wall. Farmbots tend to attack singular blocks. With this tactic, they would have to claw their way thru tons of horizontally placed metal. Like so he could see this
I was just going to say the same thing. Instead of making a picket fence, which gets knocked down by breaking a single block... Instead, make a barricade of spikes and spears (at half the pieces to make a full wall) that the bots have to chew threw piece by piece. Also.. blast the bots with those water guns.
@@VincePhoenix pistons attached to a surface so it smashes the farmbots, it damages them and it seems that the weight of surface doesn't matter for it to be more or less effective. You could even make it of cardboard
Moonbo here is a comprehensive seed guide. Early game: tomatoes carrots beets , found commonly any loot zone. Mid early game: blue berry, bananas ,oranges, spuds. All of these seeds but spuds are sold in the trader shop and are rarer to find in normal loot table. Late game: pineapple, broccoli seeds are found in the warehouse loot. They are rare as they are required for the Gatling gun and shotgun
Hey moonbo just a tip i got from scrap man, for the defense, you should place blocks horizontaly to save blocks i guess. Scrap man made a vid on it and was tottaly impressive ;)
You can consider using logic and switches to keep the water cannons firing continuously. When facing the pitchfork BOT ... the water cannons should short them.
To everybody saying that Moonbo cheated to get that ridiculous amount of fuel: have you guys seem the episodes when he builded stuff? Like the house or the vehicles? This is a man of full commitment, patience and endurance we're talking about, I believe he grinded untill he was more than satisfied
I had a problem with bots attacking my car so I covered the wheels with saw blades and drills then upgraded my car to teir 3 metal thought I would share (also how do I get in my seat settings)
If you connect a big chest to the water pumps you could have enough water to make a auto water barrage against the farmbots Maybe even attach the guns to a sensor so it detects and shoots the farmbots automatically
I'm with you on the whole "automatic farming" thing. I have a similar watering system as you, and it takes less time to build, and water my crops this way, instead of coming up with an automatic one. Nice video!
You only need 6 chests for a crafting loop. Put 4 on the bottom in a line and one on top of the far left. Then put the crafting bot on top of the 4, connecting on to the container on the left. Then just finish it with one on the right. The best part is you can do this all on its side to put this in a vehicle and keep the weight close to the ground. Then connect the refiner to one end, but sadly it takes up too much space on its side. Put a resource collector next to that and put the driver seat on top of it. This gives you the smallest Nomad vehicle and there is enough space left around all this to fit a beacon on it side, an ammo tank, the fuel tank, an export container with pump, an engine, lots of logic units... You should have just had a logic unit controlling the motion of the sprinklers. Then you would not have needed the seat, engine, batteries, and battery container. Then put a repeater on (or, nor, and timer). I think you can stun them with the water cannons too. Put saw blades all around the garden and around your vehicle to keep the bots from attacking and then turn on your drills and ram them. The drills will not damage your stuff.
@Moonbo! Another youtuber discovered that sawblades places horizontally on top of walls of the farm makes Haybots unwilling to attack so you should be able to take them out with a spudgun. Good luck on your videos.
@@MW_Green Oh I know, 2 hours at sea on my world and I have nearly 5 Large Chests of straight gas cans... so his amount is nothing compared to mine lol
With that infinity water, you can make a system to put water canons around the frontline of your farm bc water can shutdown the farmbots ^^ you will just need to finish them.
Moonbo use scrapmans strategy to place horizontal block walls, they can only break 1 to 2 blocks width in x,z directions, but can easily mow down vertical slabs as their attacks eat more blocks in vertical direction

Don't even TRY to tell me you swam for like 4 hours IRL to get that oil lmao You inspired me to look up dev codes, make a "game mechanics learning" world, and try to use a vacuum tube to make an oil rig. It doesn't work.
Hey moonbo Make a wall in the middle of your farm you will put a piston and wheel. on the middle wall and put on a water canon on the side and you will have a automatic watering. not sagging.
Nice video, there's so much inspiration to take from every single bit of gameplay in this game! I think it would be cool if you add some spudguns on the water cannon rig in the future! That raid thing is probably the way to make mob farms in SMS too...
I wish they made it so you could pump oil directly from a source . It sound op but maybe they could have a timer and when the oil bubble spawns it gets sucked up and placed into a container.
Moombo, the banana and blueberry seeds you get from the trader in exchange of other types of packages, and the pineapple and broccoli seeds from the warehouses.
If the water cannons can reach over the farm you can use them as defense to stun the farm bots, you could set them to a switch and have it continuously hit them
Use an auto-watering system with 2 pistons, a controller, 2 timers and a logic gate... Its just extremely simple and a single water cannon will water a large area, or you can remove the timers and the logic gate and use a button to water it.
You just gave me an awesome idea with that watering system... when you throw water on a farmbot they electrocute and are stunned. So you could use it as a sprinkler defense system.
Living close to the water like that is a huge advantage and the ocean rather then a lake at that. So obviously its easy to get fuel... If you are in a spot not so lucky then use piston engines.
You can place the walls on the farm horizontally to save on costs, they bots can only break one at a time and can’t go over/under if you place it right
Just an idea, I'm not entirely sure if it will work but if it does it will be great: I noticed that the water cannons at full height go slightly over the wall, which could hit any bots trying to get in which could possibly stun them? (Not sure if that only works with the water buckets) So you could set it up to fire every second or so and just attack them while they are down
Got to the point where you said "Let me hear this engine" and immediately heard someone rev their engine outside my window and had to do a double take.
You can make auto water turrets to stun hay-bots for extra defense, And also you can die inside of your base, and leave your bag with 1 item inside of it and you will have a permanent marker for your base.

You can use your watering method to knock out the farm bots in the front because the water was going past the wall
Later you should make some sort of portable light array for night building
Wish they'd allow to make blueprint in survival. I would love one of that buggy ;)
TIP make a 16 long wall horizontal all the way across the front of just wood or sum not expensive and it slows them down
1 thick bot hight u get the point
Maybe you could just shoot the water towards the farm bots when there attacking and it will stun them and you can run out and attack them.
