I have to thank you Mr. Todd, for getting my ears into a state that can appreciate a brighter, chunkier distortion sound (along with my playing amp models having more high frequency gain settings in the Axe-Fx III too of course). I like warmer tones having the high end rolled off only allowing a limited set of upper harmonics through and typically still do for my material but I am gravitating a bit toward 'the fun crunch'. Anyway, thanks again sire and Happy Holiday's!
you're right.. that was a little confusing.. but I got it.. LOL! you are so good at showing all the tweaks that bring out the best.. especially with Mesa Boogies.. I wonder if Cliff & Co would ever do an oldie but goodie like my Mark-II B as another USA model? thanks LT!
@@LeonTodd that's a good idea.. I think one of the biggest changes Boogie introduced for Mark II-C was the introduction of SimulClass.. so I imagine I'd have to disable that.. I'm wondering if Yek on the FAS Forum would have some insight on this subject
Always struggled a bit with the JS JVM model, and I’m certain this channel volume/master volume update will resolve it. Lone Star sounds so great, that amp just seems to nail every sound I’d ever want besides high gain.
Wait, didn't we JUST get 23??? These guys at Fractal just never rest, do they? Anyway, awesome stuff, what a glorious time to be a musician! As always, thank you so much for your insights and guided tours.
some interesting reverb artifacting going on with the sound at 3 min 55 sec or so that made me think i was hearing distant gunfire,! had to pause and check its not uncommon round here sadly
A little off subject Leon, wanted to know your opinion of the Yamaha UD Stomp. Where would you rank it amount modern delays (Free the tone, Timeline, DM-101, etc…). It’s cool finding some pedal you’ve never heard of that surprises you
I was shocked at how easy it was for me to dial in the new Mark V models. Marks usually fight on but these were really easy and sounded great. Also the Extreme modes are really cool.
I saw u responded to some other comments mentioning it but I wanted to ask myself I’m a little new to the axe fx stuff, just got my fm3 a month or so ago, and I have two questions Do they usually do incremental updates for the axe 3 and then do a big update for the fm3 later on? They haven’t updated it for a while and I can see that the next update will be a big one, so do they usually do it like that? And if not, if they do have smaller updates that they release on the axe fx 3 and then soon after the fm9 and fm3, how long does that usually take to port over? Sorry if these don’t make too much sense, I’m just really excited for whenever that next update will be
There's no hard and fast rule. Generally smaller stuff like new amps or effect types get ported over to the FM units fairly quickly, for substantial feayure updates like dynacabs and gapless switching it's taken a little longer. The way i look at it, the FM units gets updated fairly regularly with substantial additions while the Axe-Fx gets updates at a pretty ridiculous pace!
@@LeonTodd thanks! That helps a lot, hopefully they’ll be doing an update soon, though God knows I don’t need more amps to choose from only having this unit a month Also one last question, does the fm9 and fm3 get updated at the same time? Or does the fm9 get the ported update first and then fm3 after that Like I said I’m new to all of this so sorry for all the questions, I’m just glad I found you and can ask these questions
Separate firmware so again it depends. They have stated that there's a private beta release for the FM9 at the moment so I imagine that will get a public release first. @@ceobe7458
The day I finally got my MKIV sounding good on 2 channels, I wanted to glue the knobs in place so I wouldn’t lose the tone. What a pain in the ass to dial one of those in!
hi Leon The new firmware is not yet available on the website?, but I'm looking forward to it, nice presentation of the new things. If anyone thinks this sound is bad, they should have their ears checked ;-)
I know in the real work you prefer the IV over the V, and I agree. They sound goo in the afe too, but even on the axe fx I prefer the IV. And the JP2C red shred is freakin' good.
I always wondered why the JP2C presence shift wasn’t modeled on the fm3. Good to know it’s in the pipeline though. Would be nice to have the pull gain there too, though it’s easy enough to recreate by bumping the gain in the ideal tab.

Very welcome mate! So many different colours in the tonal rainbow.
You’re a real one, Leon for keeping all these naming conventions straight in your head so you could actually put this vid out. 😂
She sells seashells by the seashore
Hell I'm so excited to see the Red XT mode made it in. Just in time for an awesome christmas gift. Love it!
It goes hard!
Ooh, I'm digging the Mark V Xtreme Mode amp. Very nice.
I love it!

I wonder if you can tweak the existing IIC+ to cop some IIB tones?

Yeah I could live on that LS with single coils all day!
1:50 to 2:10 beautiful playing!
🙌
I preferred the Mark V models to the Mark IV, I am surprised you think they sound the same, they sounded completely different to me.

Incredible isn't it! More goodies!
omg the jurassic park analogy works so well here!! hahaha. I guess the triaxis is a Dilophosaurus
Hahaha perfect!
Jadi ketika memiliki fractal cukup ditambah speaker besar?

Check out the vid I did with it! Very capable unit, especially if you like multitap delays and chorus.

Pretty sure the default tone stack on the Mark V equivalent to having the fat switch and presence shift of the Mark IV engaged which makes it easy!

Yeah a fly can fart near those amps and they sound different
@@LeonTodd Lmfao Leon! Excellent analogy! 😂 Cheers mate!
I wonder if the mark 5 will come to the fm3
I imagine it'll be added in the next update
I prefer the Mark IV myself versus the Mark IV mode in the Mark V... but I do like having the option now.
Awesome demo Leon! Any chance of a LT blocks library update? I'd love to get in on that TC block. Thanks!
Yes, soon!
Leon you interested in buying a JVM410H? I’m in Bris
Ooooh that's tempting. Might have to hold off for now though mate.
Does the fm3 mkii also get this update?
Not just yet
Man that first bit of your live mid gain tone sounded SO snarly, I gotta get one of these things lol
Much appreciated! That one has been good to me for a long time now
Funnily enough, I just sold my Mark V - now whenever this gets ported to the fm9 It'll be like I never sold it!
Should be soon!
Thx,, have a great holiday
Thanks, you too!

Check the forum :)
Since august they have not given firmware update for fm3 😅
They're working on it. It'll be a pretty big one!
What happened to FM9 updates? FAS seems lacking on this.
They've mentioned they're working on it. It'll be a pretty significant update whenever they do.

Lovely amp the IV
@@LeonTodd I miss mine so much :-( but my VH4 is calling for a partner in crime hahaha
The JP2C didn’t sound as metal as usual. Sounded okay though.
Can't wait!

If you play the video in 2x while Leon is chugging, it sounds really awesome, like old school Metallica/megadeth haha!
Hyper caffeinated version!
LT TV Mix 7 panned left, LT TV Mix 2 panned right and then Pan LT MES OS EV Mix 1...one to the left and one to the right...Dyna who?
EXCELLENT...Thanks.
All of the models are freaking killer. But man do I love the triaxis for some 80s filth.
Extra juicy
Cries in FM9 😢
There's a private beta for the FM9 in progress at the moment so hopefully it won't be much longer
Lol they sure made it confusing Hahaha, ill just stick to my USA lead mid gain 🤘
little more low end in the M5 M4 mode LOL even with fat on M4M4 LOL WHAT AM I SAYING
MVMIV or MIV ?!?!
oh god we've gone roman numerals... what has fractal done LOL@@LeonTodd
Nice
Cool
