It does. But it’s negligible. And also, depends what it is you are doing with your phone. In some scenarios, 12 pro max has a better batter life. But... really, both phones are really good with battery. I also have an 11 pro max. Just upgraded to it 2 months ago 😊

Very informative but of course every new model should have at least some improvement on the older one or else it would be a waste of time to release it. I have the 11 pro Max and will probably wait until at least the 13 pro Max maybe 14 promax in order to gain a significant improvement. I've never experienced 5G yet and I'm looking forward to that but all in all 11 pro Max seems to hold up very very well in comparison with the newer model so I will stick with it for right now. The 14 pro definitely takes slightly better night vision photos but me being visually impaired the larger phone and display works out better for me. Now maybe if I had got to 14 pro Max instead of just the pro that might have given me reason to reconsider but I doubt it. Once I've gotten used to 100x zoom dropping down to 15x left me really really wanting more. You can't go wrong with the 14 pro it just depends on lifestyle and me being outside a lot I needed that zoom. Now if iPhone or Google would come out with at least a 50x then maybe I'd consider switching but until then Samsung Ultra Series will be
