There's a brilliant 1990s British TV series set in a women's prison called Bad Girls. Once you get into it, it is compulsive viewing. Deirdre's saviour Mary was in it. Anyway, some of the prison officers were far more diabolical than Deirdre's.
@roybarnes-thewildlifeman1855 Well it is plain to see you had never watched Prisoner: Cell Block H past episode 287. There was a prison officer called Joan Ferguson known as the Freak. J. F. was as vindictive as they come and a rotten bully. Joan Ferguson was an older version of Tracey Barlow. Very often deliberately saying thing to try and provoke inmates and officers alike. IN Episode 309 Joan Ferguson provoked Joyce Barry into hItting her, and Joyce Barry is usually as tame as Emily Bishop or Ken Barlow!
According to the script it's part of the "humanities module" of his college course, but does seem a bit daft. I suppose it's just a convenient way of introducing some drama and danger into Nick and Leanne's marriage, to see if they weather their first storm.
Even more daft, regarding those scenes, is when the talk from Darren the Murderer is over, one of the first things daffy Nick Tilsley says is "he should be in prison!" Err... he is. (For now).
The only Corrie character that i disliked more than that Zoe, was Vera's mum. Well, Les Battersby is tied with Vera's mum. If I lived on the street, with him as a neighbor, I would limit my communication, with him, to either taking the piss or giving him a swift kick in the bollocks.
What annoyed me was Tracy was no where to be seen while her mom was locked up ... granted her acting chops where limited, but she still should of popped up same with Blanche the story line could of been extended.
Gay-yul is often a nagging bhitc, but I have noticed that when there's a funeral, she is very compassionate and treats people she doesn't like carefully.
Asley's anger towards Fred Elliot was actually projection of his own guilt for failing to take care of Shannon. He was just as responsible for Shannon's death as Zoe was. You can't witness child neglect and do nothing.
poor Ashley though was too passive with Zoe because he cared and wanted to help her, so sadly he chose to overlook what everyone was trying to warn him about-- that Zoe was using him and she wasn't ready to be a mother. He should have put his foot down with her sooner but tragically it was all too little too late x
Ashley not wanting Zoe to except Judy's help when she reached out for help makes him partially at fault in my book. If she had been allowed some bits of time to rest or relax she may have been a better mom and on the other hand Judy may have caught Shannon's sickness in time. I really liked Ashley but that tarnished him for me.
Nick Tinsley, I've seen Trees that are less wooden..

Well, Les Battersby is tied with Vera's mum. If I lived on the street, with him as a neighbor, I would limit my communication, with him, to either taking the piss or giving him a swift kick in the bollocks.
Creepy Ken😝
What has happened in this episode just shows you there can be jealous wives as well as jealous husbands the way Alma has been carrying on.
Jim McDonald hit Rock Bottom in the Rovers Return asking Des Barns for the price of a pint of beer
What annoyed me was Tracy was no where to be seen while her mom was locked up ... granted her acting chops where limited, but she still should of popped up same with Blanche the story line could of been extended.
"Gear box"!

I must be the only one but I could not stand Hayley.
Old Harold Lad😫
Haha love it love 😅
Gay-yul is often a nagging bhitc, but I have noticed that when there's a funeral, she is very compassionate and treats people she doesn't like carefully.
1:18:07 Arsene Wenger to the right, facing the camera...

He should have put his foot down with her sooner but tragically it was all too little too late x
she had meningitis - no one was to blame
Mike outside the jail sayin to derdrie i told u i'd get u out didnt i, but he didnt get her out, lindsey ex wife evidence got her out!!!!
His solicitor I think that’s what he meant
Ashley not wanting Zoe to except Judy's help when she reached out for help makes him partially at fault in my book. If she had been allowed some bits of time to rest or relax she may have been a better mom and on the other hand Judy may have caught Shannon's sickness in time. I really liked Ashley but that tarnished him for me.
Another regurgitated storyline - Mike deceives Alma and Alma states she will never forgive him. 🥱
Lindsey ex wife is one of the julies in bad girls
Ewe there’s the future John Stape!!!! A copper no less 😂
Judy and supposed "good ideas"
