- Took a trip down to south Texas to fish the Laguna Madre for the first time and it did not disappoint. Had a great time with some good buddies. I will 100% be going back and maybe next time take the seadoo fish pro.

I'm in the Freeport area & use Paul Brown Fattie Texas Chicken Lures to find those huge Spec's..
If there's Spec's in the water? They'll smoke that lure. I did try paddletails but they kept biting the tails off, no hook ups. Limited out 20" plus size Spec's in less than 10min. It was amazing on the Quintana Jettie. The water was so clear but that Storm probably screwed everything up now.

My family has fished Port Mansfield for years. I’ve been there many times. But not in many years. Looks like the area has improved and I know the fishing is usually awesome. I would like to know the name of the places you visited (Condo’s). May plan a family trip soon.
The condo is owned by Ben Paschal and he is also a fishing guide in the area. I will put his website here. For sure would be an awesome place for a family trip!

I didnt think people were keeping trout out of PM due to last years freeze. This is my backyard and it’s pains me to see this tbh. Long time fan but man this hurts.
Just following Texas parks and wildlife regulations for the region.
@@KagenFishing yea you’re a solid dude. I just know that everyone and their mother will be out catching trout in a fishery that’s in recovery mode. That’s why this area is so amazing.
