I just wanted to say how much I appreciate someone who acknowledges their favourites in a review but gives all of the products being compared a fair review of pros, cons, and why you preferred the ones that are your favourite. My sister got an Orbitkey a couple of months ago along with some of their after-market extras, and my dad was so impressed with it that he's recently bought one as well, and now my mum is looking at getting one. I was originally leaning towards a KeySmart myself, but now having heard from someone who's tried them more, I'm going to weigh up the different pros and cons of each one for a bit longer before I make my decision.
For those wondering, Keysmart offers the Keysmart Rugged. It’s a thicker Aluminum (also offered in Titanium, I have that one) and it comes with the pocket clip, a D ring for fobs, longer screws for more keys and the same bottle opener showed here. It’s ~$40 and Titanium is $50 but worth it, I think.
Thanks for your advice. Speaking from years of trials of various key holders and first saying that I totally agree with you that KeyBar is very difficult to set up, BUT once this is done it is far superior to the others you presented. Thanks for the useful, informative video. 👍
I love the Bellroy plus version. I was a little harsh with it, and it broke after a year, but they did honor my 3-year warranty and send me a new one after I contacted them through email.
Same here, except mine reached the 2 year mark before one of the elastic straps snapped. I sent them an email, they had me send a picture of it, and I had a new one 1 week later. They even let me choose my new color.
I’ve had the privilege to use Orbitkey and Campbell Cole since we only have these two brands in Malaysia and I can assure you that the quality is beyond excellent. For my day-to-day 9 to 5, I would resort to Orbitkey since it’s small and compact which fits nicely in my bag, front pocket or tiny motorcycle compartment. The Campbell Cole keywrap looks more elegant no doubt and I save those for the weekends where I have to travel to several locations and occasionally return home to grab some supplies. It can easily fit more keys but is on the larger side when compared to Orbitkey.
I got a leather Orbitkey. When I bought it, it was the first key organizer I had ever seen, and I thought it was awesome! After seeing all the different types of key organizers there are in this video, I'm happy I found the orbitkey first because it's definitely my favorite out of them. It's soft, so if comfortable to have in my pocket, and I think the minimalist look of it is very nice.
Ultimately guys only have wallets, keys and watches for the most basic accessories and key organizers are the most forgotten and underestimated. Great topic well presented.
I have been using an older Key Smart for about three years and love it. In my opinion it is way superior to most of the gadgets you present in this video. Most seem way too bulky. I have tried leather alternatives, but prefer the Key Smart. It is smarter, way thinner and more portable. Reminds me of a Swiss knife!
I would suggest getting the "extras" such as the tile or flashlight as external addons. this way if the tile or flashlight dies or breaks you only have to replace that one part and not the whole thing. plus you have more choice on what kind of flashlight or tile you want.
PIVOTTTT!! Sorry, when he said that the first time Friends automatically pop in my brain. I think that these are awesome, you know the existence of key organizers. Never heard of em' tell now, and yes I believe I was sleeping under a rock for not hearing about these earlier... I'm always losing everything even my dang keys😅
I’ve used both generations of the Orbit Key and the Bellroy product. Decided to stick with the Bellroy. Fit in side the pocket alittle better. Nevertheless a cool line up / review.
Great and helpful review! I have used Key Smart for the past 3 weeks, and I have found myself loving it so far! The other Key Organizers you showed looked great and functional as well! Keep up the great videos!
I have had the keyport slide 6 key version for years and I love it. I cannot imagine using anything bulkier. The setup takes longer since you have to have custom keys cut or a fob slide made but it is worth it. Making a key is fast and cheap and the size decrease is definitely worth it for me. Although i did have to work-around to get my office key made since it was stamped "do not duplicate" I got mine before the flashlight option was available so I may have to buy a new one after six years of use to get the new functionality. I don't understand how you thought the Campbell Cole Keywrap was the best looking. I guess different people like different designs.
I've been carrying the silicone version of Orbit key for about two years now and i love it! Back then i had this mess of keys taking up one of my pockets. Not i carry all my 7 keys i use ever day in my watch pocket (that small pocket on almost every jeans) and still have one free picked
I recently got a great deal on a KeySmart Rugged. It doesn't have the Tile feature, which I'd like, but FWIW the Rugged I got DOES have a removable pocket clip like the Keybar. I think that Belroy Plus looks great. That OrbitKey doesn't look like it would hold as much as the Rugged while maintaining the same thickness. Anyways, great video!
Tried the keysmart. The first few weeks, it worked well and I liked it. After that, It was really just more of a nuisance than anything. Screws kept backing out. I'd have to tighten them every couple of days. Eventually, I somehow lost one of them, making it useless. I think I might try the orbitkey after watching this.
Awesome lineup! I’d like to add the Moosebrand Palm keyholder for consideration, similar to the key cover in a lot of ways but double ended. Love your video style Brock!
This video was really well made and helpful. The Bellroy plus looks like the best choice for me, but I am concerned whether it will stay shut with a car key similar to the one in your video inside. I would attach my larger car key with integrated buttons for the car I drive to the outside. Thanks -
Keybar is the OG and I've had one for over 5 years. It is very hard to set up and I think I need to switch to the bellroy. Awesome video didn't know there was this many products.
Good roundup! I've seen positive reviews on the Jibbon key organiser. Have you heard of them Brock? I've had the Orbit for a while but I'm looking to give Jibbon a go. No tools to assemble and no metal parts on top. Leather seems good quality too.
You have to go to Keybar to actually see all of the different options you can add to it. One thing you can't add to pretty much any of the other ones is a knife blade for people who need that for EDC.
I have a red Keysmart with a pocket clip. It has thicker sides and is very heavy duty, been using it for several years. I only mention this because you kept mentioning the lack of a pocket clip!
Look at the Keysmart rugged. Its heavier duty metal without adding too much bulk and has a pocket clip. I've ended up accidentally throwing mine across concrete and its held up fine.
I have literally been researching all of these products this morning trying to get a last minute Christmas gift (to myself) hehe. Couldn’t have asked for a better video and review at a better time. I am still so indecisive though!!
Thank you for demonstrating the different options. Of organizing your keys with various organizing options. I am going to buy the keyport pivot , by you demonstrating how it's useful of many functions that is my decision. That's the one I'm getting. Thank you very much for your help.
Thanks for the video. Great breakdown of some popular brands. I’m sporting the Carbocage. Good organizer, light weight, fits in bigger keys without sticking out like the KeySmart does. Made of carbon fibre and I’ve been using it for the past 2 years. Recommended.
I had the Orbitkey but ultimately purchased the Bellroy. What I mostly liked about it is how it is relatively flat in shape and does not stack all your keys on top of each other. This creates a lot less bulge in your clothing when you pocket it. It gets rid of that feeling like you are carrying a small metal brick everywhere. The downside is that I don't think it comfortably fits a lot of keys.
Nice comparison! Great video! I switched to Orgalumee key holder after years of using Keysmart. It works for me really nice. Thinking of buying Orbitkey as well.
Had the Bellroy at first; but the elastic band on the inside snapped fairly soon, does not seem to be made to last unfortunately. Orbitkey now, love the looks, and is super sturdy.
My house key is very long, almost 10cm, its one of those that you have to insert horizontally.. I was wondering if it could work with any of these organizers? + I have 9 keys total
The Bellroy's fatal flaw is the leather loop for the car keys. Leather loops wont last, they should have made it out of stainless steel and pvd coated it or something. I don't want all my keys getting lost because the leather loop broke.
Great video! I've been looking for a key organizer however one of my concerns is one handed use. Do you have any issues with this on the ones other than the keyport? Coming home in hand I'm already juggling a water bottle, coffee mug, and cell phone coming off a holder in my car.
Hi, really useful video. I have been looking for an organiser, but I carry the RADAR key for disabled toilets, which is a fairly long key. Can you suggest an organiser which can fit the RADAR key inside. Thanks
You can get the KeySmart Rugged with a good quality, removable pocket clip. I have two of them with this option. Have been using KeySmart for years now and have yet to come across anything else that can match them in my opinion. Currently have an order in for the new KeySmart Max and looking forward to seeing how it compares to the older models.
Dont worry about the keysmart logo. It fades away after a few weeks use... Other than that, I love KeySmart. The built in tile is extremely helpful! I have added a usb memorystick and thats really practical.
This is perfect thank you for your great review. I'm trying to get my husband little gifts he would use for father's day. I want to have it all ready before June.
Hello. I have a question on the Keysmart Max, wishing you could shed light on. My concern is how slim it could possibly be. The answer of this question is hard to find on the internet because most people are concerned with how many keys it can possibly holds. So do you have any idea how thick the Keysmart Max is if there is no key and disc and screw driver in it, so that I can estimate that myself? Thank you very much!
I had the keysmart and it broke on me. KeyBar is better quality and my favorite. What i really like about the KeyBar is that you can customize it and....MADE IN THE USA!
I have one fob, and one house key. I don't think I need as key organizer but I do think a couple accessories and a good way to organize and carry them would be a good idea. Knife, multitool, olight etc. I don't know what would work best
Thanks for this video! This help me a lot on what to purchase! I ended up getting the original keysmart. Just have a quick question, I was really unsure if the screws will get undone long term. I was thinking of using a thread lock possibly blue or purple Loctite Just wanted to know if it would be a good idea?
Thanks for the review. If I carry keys hung to my belt, are they all equally capable? In particular, are they all secure (against unwanted unscrewing)?
Super cool comparison video! I'm a huge fan of the Keybar and have been rocking one for about a year. Been curious about picking up a Keyport it was super cool to see the ins and outs in your review
Have orbitkey and love it. I thought the whole point of these was to not scratch your phone/wallet in your pocket. So don’t understand the ones that don’t fully cover your keys and/or have sharp and metal edges.
I have the KeySmart and I don't use it anymore. Setting it up is a pain in the ass, and the screws that hold the two pieces together come loose very easily
I found a little locktite on the screws for the KeySmart really improved on it staying together and you can work the tightness to however tight you want. I don't have the one with the tile or the light, but the thinner original keysmart with the extender which I then modded to fasten a pocket clip to the side. Works awesomely.
How would these work outside the US? As someone who lives in Europe, Finland to be exact, all my keys are Abloy Execs, which are neither flat or particularly short. How would these organizers work with those?
Long shot but: any chance you still have the keyport and are willing to sell it. It's currently out of production and not going to be sold again till ~ Q2 2022.
Keep in mind that different countries might have different prefered key types and sizes. Many key organizers from USA are said to be not so great for the thicker keys used in Germany for example. Might be a good idea to look for manufacturers from your own country...
Thanks for the video. Love the bellroy plus. Quick question though about the bellroy plus, does it come with that round metal attachment for your car key?or do i have to buy that separately?my car key is what i hate carrying with my actual fob. Thanks in advance. I appreciate it.
Where I live (The Netherlands) we sometimes use house keys that somewhat resemble a Philips head screwdriver (rounded key). I'm unsure if you have these elsewhere or what they are known as. Would these products fit this type of key? Nice video!
also keysmart can reversely find your smart phone if you have your keys and looking for your phone by pressing the tile button twice. edit, even if its in vibrate or silent.
Great video.. Seems like none are big enough to hold a car key like mine, would have to hang it with fob.. Defeats the purpose for me, I will continue looking for one though.. Thanks for the hard work you put into your videos, very thorough..
I like the bellroy one as well. I'm using the key smart one, but I think the bellroy would be better. Another consideration of why I think the bellroy is better, is that sometimes you're going to put your keys in a place where it'll touch something else, say something like your phone. If it's a hard shell type of case or whatever, it might scratch your phone or some other things. With the bellroy though, seems pretty covered, looks great, and is functional.
i've been looking for a key organizer for some time now and a common complain i've found out people have is that with time (not long, as a matter of fact) the screws loosen up and you either must screw them again on a daily basis or you end uo loosing keys. im surprised you didn't mention this at all for any of the showcased products.
They have tightening mechanisms, so you can tighten them if they loosen up. All of these seem very durable to me, but they Keybar is probably the most durable.
There were some organizers that you didn't utilize or mention that the second side can also be used for keys. This puts those on the plus column over ones where all the keys have to be on one side.
@@BrockMcGoff Keysmart and Keybar. There was one that you did use both sides (Bellroy,) but in my opinion, that's a huge plus to any of them. The downside is that it is cumbersome if you have keys folding out in the way of any attachments, like a fob. Your video is great. My comment was just an FYI...
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate someone who acknowledges their favourites in a review but gives all of the products being compared a fair review of pros, cons, and why you preferred the ones that are your favourite.

also keysmart can reversely find your smart phone if you have your keys and looking for your phone by pressing the tile button twice. edit, even if its in vibrate or silent.
They are a bit bigger but 4 and 6 key ring trifolds are also worth considering.
Great video..
Seems like none are big enough to hold a car key like mine, would have to hang it with fob..
Defeats the purpose for me, I will continue looking for one though..
Thanks for the hard work you put into your videos, very thorough..
Have you tried the keysmart with the extensions on?
I like the bellroy one as well.
I'm using the key smart one, but I think the bellroy would be better.
Another consideration of why I think the bellroy is better, is that sometimes you're going to put your keys in a place where it'll touch something else, say something like your phone.
If it's a hard shell type of case or whatever, it might scratch your phone or some other things.
With the bellroy though, seems pretty covered, looks great, and is functional.
Yeah samething I was thinking. Even with the Orbitkey they still have a chance to scratch your phone. Bellyroy wins here.
Have you considered a portable sound dampening wall? It would bring up your already great audio!
i've been looking for a key organizer for some time now and a common complain i've found out people have is that with time (not long, as a matter of fact) the screws loosen up and you either must screw them again on a daily basis or you end uo loosing keys.
im surprised you didn't mention this at all for any of the showcased products.
I haven’t experienced that at all.
Thanks for the review but u missed "The Most important" note of a key ring organizer! How many keys will each on hold??
They all hold more than enough, but you can find specs on their websites.
Great review man keep up the good work👍
do keys jangle when they're in the belroy cases?
Can you please come up with an updated 2020 version. Thank You.

Cool vid! Could've loved to have known about this at the start of dec 😂 all the best
I know! Tried to get it out sooner. These make great gifts.
What key organizers are in your boys stable?
is the light and mic supposed to be in the shot ?
Does the bellroy allow for keys to rattle?
Notification squad 😍 and those brands looks awesome definitely going to have two of them Thanks BROCK 😍
Thanks for watching!
Keybar - titanium/carbon fiber with deep carry clip (2) Adds to the price but light weight and fits in the pocket well.
The keysmart I have is all titanium .... Is the keysmart tile just plastic? 🙄
adoboFosho I honestly don’t know but I’m sure it is.
The orbit looks very handy, but how easily do the pivot type covers "loosen" or wear out, as far as swivelling the keys go?
They have tightening mechanisms, so you can tighten them if they loosen up. All of these seem very durable to me, but they Keybar is probably the most durable.
There were some organizers that you didn't utilize or mention that the second side can also be used for keys. This puts those on the plus column over ones where all the keys have to be on one side.
Which ones? Most of the ones I tested hold keys on both sides.
Do these work with the big chip style keys? Like the ones wit the lock/unlock buttons on the key itself (not a fob).
Some of them do. I cover this in the video 😉
