@@dilbydj percussion like grooves, drums in the mid range that groove with each other. But in a more unique way then just standard snares or claps, right now im just using snares and claps to create groove in the mid range and Im struggling to create alternatives.
No, not always to the root note, but I would always have them playing in the scale of the track. With this sustained bassline it has space to have them playing on the root note, but if the track had a more punch rhythmic bassline playing the root note of the scale I would tune the toms to give space to the bassline but still sound good harmonically.
