I think, it was bad writer’s idea to make her died at all... the movie stoped being a comedy for me... I felt sorrow for Sam and Sophie across all the movie... I thought they would show us Donna’s happy family life at last... At least I wished to see it)) but not her death...

@@Gortensy it wasn't a decision the writer made. The actress for Donna doesn't do sequels so she requested it herself
Why does Pierce call himself "step-Dad". I thought he was the bio father . Colin and Stellan are "honorary" fathers or "godfathers" if you will.
Bio was never confirmed he says step dad because technically he is he marries Donna so he becomes stepdad
But also everyone's pretty sure that Bill is the bio dad but they cut a scene out that kinda confirms it so it never gets confirmed
