I was literally fishing with white caps yesterday and couldn't figure out how I wanted to fish so I searched for a video likes this and couldn't find a good one... glad its here now but just a day short for me. 🤣

I totally agree. As long as you can control your boat, I think your chances of catching them go up instead of down. All of the reasons that you mentioned, and, I think the "chop" on the water distorts their vision so they can't necessarily make you out in your boat.
Had wind gusts up to 31 mph yesterday, average was about 21 mph, i went fishing and didn’t get a bite. It was just a bad day for it, there were white caps on the water so if that doesn’t say anything then i dont know what does😂

How possible would it be for you to do head to head competition's with your TH-cam friends? Like say Darien is fishing his home lake and you fish a lake near your home, same day, same time, best 5 wins or something like that. I think it would be fun to watch.
I fish mostly offshore for smallmouth. If I'm fishing against the wind, would I put the trolling motor on continuous mode and cast towards the wind to cover water? I find myself basically anchor in the same spot because obviously the wind is blowing in my face and I'm using my trolling motor to go against the wind.. this is what I struggle with and trying to get better at.. fishing against the wind offshore.. any tip would help.. thanks
It all depends on your fish. Sometimes they want the lure coming down the current, and sometimes opposite. Usually though, you have to do whatever you can to be most efficient. So if that is going down at the bank with the wind, you will cover more water and use less trolling motor battery. If I am fishing offshore though, I always want to be spot locked and casting into the wind

I fish from the bank most of the time. I want and need to fish weightless as these lakes i fish arent too deep. How the hell do i combat the wind or do i just shut up and use a weighted worm ?
Great tips. I am a serial wind runner. I hide from it most of the time. Will take your suggestions and reevaluate fishing on windy days.

We had a bomb cyclone weather system here the last two days. Heavy rain and winds over 20 MPH. I laughed real hard when this vid popped up. 😂🤣

1. Throw down wind
2. Suck it up and throw a heavier lure

No, throw against it if you can. It’s more natural to a fish to have a bait coming down current as opposed to up
