Maybe it was just me, but does the camera apply a fish-eye lens filter once you start climbing the stairs? It looks like the outside edges along the screen angle out once you start climbing; for me it was noticeable on the walls as Cloud ran by. If this is true, it's a nice feature, because the wide angled nature given to viewers from a fish-eye lens would help reduce fatigue from the spinning camera angle associated with the stair climbing.

Had me laughing, can't wait for it on PC but I am very pleased with seeing how they did the remake version of this! As someone who's actually done some unofficial non-competitive stair climbing, I can associate the music to that blood rush to your head and achy legs and clouded head just from heavy breathing after awhile.
I've found music just slows - tested trying to beat time for 100 floors on a stair climber (the only place that has enough stairs to test this) It sounds like a DJ has adjusted the speed control down about 5bpm.
Barret lost his when his lost grip with the building he was grappling towards, Cloud threw his away to help Tifa pull up Barret with hers, as for Tifa’s, who knows, she probably threw it away. Besides, the grappling hooks can’t grapple onto anything with a too high density surface (my theory at least given the context of the chapter beforehand), and there might not be an optimal position to latch onto something at the top from the initial position they were at, nor between the railing of the stairs. I mean look at Barret, I doubt he could make it through.
The one thing I regret is that they didn't played the joke that tiffa realised that because she was climbing FIRST... They could potentially see under her skirt... Forcing her to push them at the front. That would have been hilarious to have that.

In the original game that had no talking but only soundtracks, I used to think that Cloud wasn't that quiet talking like he had no emotions, and less aggressive and excited outside battle.
I took the elevator not realizing I had the option. I ended up finding the stairwell, thinking there might be a loot box on one of the floors if I run down it. 56 floors of NOPE.

The camera here is stupid , its way too close
You can zoom the camera out in the settings and besides, it’s a small staircase there’s not tons of room.
I found it manageable to keep the camera stationary instead of constantly moving it around.
