This was an epic performance! Caissie Levy is amazing as Elsa!!! One thing I wished they keep in this performance, Elsa's signature quick change. Its awesome!!!
I’m pretty sure the stage at St. James theatre is rigged so that the dress can come off. If you look at the GMA performance you see the dress get sucked into the stage
caissie had literally 30 SECONDS to change to her outfit completely to let it go dress & wig and get under the stage for when she rises up 😳😳😳 i don’t know HOW they did that in time omg

Hold on, is the projection for the “The last in the past” part different? On broadway it just really quickly goes across the stage but here it runs smoothly
Elsa’s dress in for the first in forever here is not accurate in the actual theatre performance she did not where the coronation gown until the actual coronation she wore the blue dress in the actual theater version
I think they won't be able to pull of any major costume change (aside from the coronation dress to snow dress) since Tony Award performances are really quick. Like they were usually given only 3-4 minutes for a compilation of songs, so major songs and quick transitions are their only options.
Still no dress transformation. Where the hell is that footage? Yes, I saw the professionally filmed TV thing. But they cut like four times before, during, and after the transformation with an infuriating long, long shot. I just want one clean clear close take. Dammit.
Shame that they couldn't do the dress transformation..But, the Tony's aren't just for Frozen, they're for at least a dozen other musicals, so you hafta do what yo hafta do... Also, the stage at the St. James was modified to do the dress transformation, and they would change the host theatre for the Tonys just for Frozen.
Tucker Hawkey in Tony performances they do their best to include every main character in the show in it if it’s a big ensemble show. They did it with Newsies as well, they had twice as many people because they had all of their swings in as well. It’s the same with Kristoff, he isn’t actually in the first time in forever either, so Olaf in there is their way of not only showing the audience who hasn’t yet seen the show the incredible puppet work but petting the actor shine
