I had always believed it was named Voltes V until I was corrected that it’s actually referred to as Voltes-Five.
I always call it Voltes V for brevity sake but I believe it's Combattler V and Voltes Five just so we can all be very confused. It does kinda say that the V in Combattler V is for Victory in the opening theme song. I guess it's not so with Voltes.
