Isagi's chemical reaction with barou, Isagi being the best player able to link up with rin which opens the connections for the other players to step in, stopping shidou's goal because he knew rins blind spot, and then learning from his previous loss to seal the victory. Rin alone would have lost the game and honestly outside of defense rin did not do much at all in this match which is why he is so pissed at the end. Though if you really dont think Isagi is the mvp in this match then who is?

This episode literally shows how useless isagi is he’s basically inferior version of itoshi sae he became hero just because he got the final goal instead of rin who constantly became the Center of play in blue lock and stopped SAE’s attempts
this season he just learn the mechanism of "luck" and that's huge for his growing. this season more focus on civil war storyline between sae & rin. even in the beginning of neo blue league later, isagi still inferior to many people in there. that why in there, he focus on his vision ability and shooting technique. also focus on other abilities that still inferior compare with others.
