Your knife techniques had me saying... Ohhhhh sh*t!!!! soooooo many times but you did get the job done and still had all your fingers!! Kudos to the cameraman and your assistant! When all considered... Great video man!

The battery in the fob is a rechargeable battery. They tend to lose their charge after taking many short trips where you're locking and unlocking the car frequently. To recharge mine I left the ignition in the "ON" position for several hours. To keep the car battery from running down I put a trickle charger on it. The fob battery works great now.

Steps to opening your key fob
1.use razor blade to cut the adhesive holding it together. 2.pry slowly start from the hole you put your key rinf through and work your way around slowly. 3. !!!! use a soldering pen !!!!!! un-solder the 2 points on the battery 4.replace batt and reverse steps

Hello everyone, thanks for the interest in my video. Yes this is not the best, or safest way to change your battery. I really just posted this so everyone could see how difficult it is to DIY something like this. I need to add a disclaimer "attempt at your own risk!!!" However, it is possible and the key in this video is still working.

This will give you an idea of how difficult it can be to detach the battery but please watch another video to see the best way of doing this. This is truly dreadful and dangerous!! By the way TriCitiesBoater all rechargeable batteries have a lifespan of years or number of charges so eventually will not hold a charge.

Really. Just buy new battery and solder to the board only take 5 minutes to replaced and the battery is recharged when you used in the car

this is sooooo wrong. you do NOT need to pop the wielding points on the old battery. you just need to melt the soldering points on the other side, and it will all just come off easily. the new battery, IF YOU GET THE RIGHT ONE, comes with those pieces already wielded onto it. then you just solder them onto the board. much safer and smarter than doing it this way. cheers!

mooie oplichters van bmw kun je om de paar jaar een nieuwe sleutel kopen terwijl van andere autos simpel te vervangen is
