Organist Daniel Ficarri performs his transcription of Clair de Lune from Claude Debussy's Suite Bergamasque. The performance celebrated the opening of the Cathedral's new art exhibit, Divine Pathways, which features over one thousand 75-foot ribbons hanging below the vaulted ceiling. The piece is recorded on a Walker Technical organ installed in the space while the Cathedral's Aeolian-Skinner is being cleaned after a minor fire in 2019. Absolutely BRILLIANT!
Oh my gosh, Daniel, this is beyond exquisite! So tender and beautiful beyond words! Thank you so very much for sharing this with us. I will be purchasing your arrangement soon and add it to my repertoire.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
You played this as well as our beloved Spanish organist Raul. Meant as a great compliment!
Sublime only begins to describe this performance. Thank you!
I'm aware how absolutely precise everythingb must be for this piece to work. Your rensition is stinning and how you found the way to let the piece unfold in its own time and space- it happens rarely, actually for me. I think the organ with its universe of sound helps and of course your sesnitivities and skills clareified it.
thank you for sharing.
this is incredible!
I never see him use sheet music... he must have a photographic memory....
The shirt is almost as "divine" as your playing.
