I've been wanting to visit his grave for some time. I just only found out he was in oregon a couple years ago. The Earps have captured my imagination since I was elementary school age. It's awesome to see a comment here of someone who is related. In fact, I'm going to visit today. :)

Can you direct me to his plot? I was thinking of going to see his grave at River View Cemetery, but don't know exactly where it's located
He actually died in Goldfield Nevada. His daughter lived in Portland thats why he was buried there.

There were 6 Earp brothers. The movie Tombstone only depicted 3. That must be where you got that figure. There was Wyatt Earp, Virgil Earp, Morgan Earp, James Earp, Newton Earp, and Warren Earp

Virgil died here in Goldfield NV of pneumonia a couple of years after being sworn in as deputy in Esmerelda county. I'm surprise he wasn't buried here or in Colton, CA. He didn't officially marry his last wife but they were together until the end so it seems like he would be buried by her in Colton but I guess they put him with his kids.... Thanks

There were 4 brothers. James, Virgil, Morgan, and Wyatt. James was not involved with OK corral gunfight.
Wyatt Earp had 5 brothers, 1 of which was a half brother named Newton

Virgil also never moved back to Portland. He went their to visit, then went back to Nevada, where he got sick and died. His daughter then had his body transferred back to Portland, where he was buried.
Virgil and family would be appalled at Portland in 2023... I am, been here since 61.
Please check your facts. Some of them are inaccurate. Virgil died of pneumonia in Nevada and his then wife Allie sent his body to Oregon for burial at his daughter’s request.

There were more than three Earp brothers. Only three were in law enforcement.

Virgil, Wyatt, Morgan and Warren Earp. There were FOUR Earp Bros.
Tombstone is 30-45 minutes from Tucson, AZ...not PHX.
IKE CLANTON not Clayton.
He lived in Colton and San Bernadino, California and the Prescott, AZ until moving to Orgeon (never Chicago) to reunite with his daughter Nellie Jane from his first wife Allie. He was living in Prescott, AZ at the time when is daughter Nellie Jane wrote to him from Portland and she intended to meet him in AZ. She caught Pneumonia and Virgil instead went to Portland to see her and his two grandchildren.
He spent the rest of his life between Colton, CA and Prescott, AZ. When he died in CA, his daughter had his remains transported to Portland where he remains to this day.
He was FAMOUS. Not infamous. He spent most of his life as an elected official and US Marshall. Never an outlaw.

Lisa ? do you by chance know the exact location of Doc Holidays Grave Sight - I know there is a monument dedicated to Doc Holiday , but its been said that nobody really knows where he is buried exactly that he is in unmarked grave - not where the fenced in monument to him is :
