I was planing ro spend around 100$, with delivery, on Maxon wise and than I saw this video. Thank you for making it you saved me a lot of cash! Oh how I like when I stumble upon an cheap and easy solution that saves money!
Great wise! Simply, easy to make, and strong! Just perfect for me! BUT! As a beginner, when I copy this for my new DIY workbench, I'll make the top of the front and back boards a little too high, and sand them down to aline perfect to the tabletop AFTER I've installed them. To me, it's a lot easier (and wise :D ) to do than to lower the tabletop or make a new set of boards for the vise, if you make them a tiny fraction of an inch or millimeter too low! Ouch! And perhaps make the front board a little thicker and drill 2 holes in them as well as some in the tabletop, for using dogs to tighten flat pieces with the vise. Creativity is THE best tool to get things done and improve them .. or make mistakes! :D Stay safe (y)
Just watched the video... this is what plan to do... Can you please reupload the link of the plan as the current link is not working. Thank you very much
Execellent video. Only change I will make on mine is to have the the bolts shift inwards under the work bench instead of sticking out. Looks safer that way to me.
An excellent quick and effective side vice, thank you very much for the easy to follow video, BUT, possibly the worst background music I have ever heard on youtube. oh well.
Easy cheap and useful Still … it s a bit annoying with that rods in front of ur hips belly or legs Maybe u shall think a way keep the rods fully inside the bench And show us🙏🙏🙏
There really is no benefit to speeded up footage. I need to understand what is being done, how it is being done and the end result of each section. It is also very irritating to try and watch. The “free plans” don’t appear to be available so a complete waste of time.
