    I've had a devastating couple months losing plants to pests (mealybugs and mites) and your videos are giving me the boost to go out and buy more plants now that the situation is under control. Quarantining a new philodenderon lemon lime and a peace lily at the moment! Thanks Patrick!

    I love my monstera siltepecana, it grows quickly and is easy going. I chopped it back a lot in December because it was starting to invade neighboring pots. Now, I can barely tell I trimmed it. I don't have room for the larger monstera varieties. Another easygoing plant type are tradescantias. They are colorful and do well in bright, indirect light. They don't require a lot of water either. Herbs are great for windowsills or under grow lights. I've had more success growing cilantro inside than I've had in the past 5 years of patio gardening. Thyme and basil are also easygoing windowsill or grow light herbs. I have sliding glass doors for windows and nosy neighbors so I have heavy blackout curtains. Plus, I'm in southern Arizona and the sliding doors are as old as I am so the curtains block the heat in the summer. I thought I couldn't grow a wide variety of plants in my apartment but I started experimenting with grow lights. Now, I've even been successful growing dwarf tomatoes inside.

    you could try a inline hose filter patrick. also called a "rv filter"(sold ar all the home stores) i habe a gro green by hydro logic from tyhe pro grow store(same company that makes ro systems) removes most all the nasty stuff from tap water. used if for years in my hydro system.

    The Neon is my favorite too! 😍 Did you know that not even Epipremnum is a Pothos? Pothos is a completely separate genus. It's weird cause we use the name Pothos so often, while the actual Pothos are relatively uncommon/rare

    string of hearts is THE plant i struggle with the most 😆
    the only way i seem to make it happy is in the "prop-box"
    i'm guessing the humidity in my house is just way too low

    • @Patadendron
      @Patadendron  ปีที่แล้ว

    Marantas are the easiest of the marantacaea family. The easiest calatheas (goeppertia now) are definitely the peacock plant and the rattlesnake plant. Burle Marxii isn’t tooooo bad.

  • @reyhosein2533
    @reyhosein2533 ปีที่แล้ว

    Patrick, i think that at one point calatheas casted spells on me when I walk by them, just had to take one up lol, but now I've waaaaaaaaaaay more discipline. 😁😁

    Quality content :) if I had a plant newbie friend, I would for sure share this.
    Your videos feel like a friend is sending me a Snapchat or FaceTiming me. Especially the goofy snips like model posing with plants and runway walks down the isles holding plants. Werq. Haha
